A certain kind of ants, for example, can count their steps to stop themselves from getting lost. They can go as far as 110 metres and bring food home. Clearly, one small act of humans may mean a lot to animals.

First, helicopters carrying China's national flag flew over. Behind them were many types of planes, such as early warning planes, fighter jets, bombers and transport planes. Many of these planes are very good, and some were shown to the public for the first time. They flew in perfect order, making people below cheer loudly.

However, things were very different in 1949, when China's founding day took place. There were only 17 planes in the show then. To make the group look bigger, some fighter jets flew around and passed Tiananmen Square twice. Also, there were few types of planes, and none were made in China. However, as they walked on, they found they were lost. Becky started to cry wildly.

He didn't get far when the floor in front of him suddenly dropped fast into the black world below. He stretched his arm to feel how deep the drop was. While he was feeling around, his hand touched another hand. Tom jumped back and held out his candle to see who was there. A face then appeared. It was the face of Injun Joe.

Thousands of people gathered early to watch this historic event, which sent a strong message of peace and strength to the world.

The parade ended with a flight show of more than 100 planes, leaving colorful trails in the sky. President Xi's speech stressed again that China's promise is to keep world peace and its goals for becoming modern. As the country moves to become a fully modern society by 2035, the event showed both its pride in history and its hopes for the future.
