Learning English just by watching a TV show sounds too good to be true. A popular TV show named Friends can help people learn English in an easy and (interest) way.

Friends is American sitcom. It tells the story of six friends living in the New York City. They have good times together and help each other in hard times. They are like family to each other. To feel your best during the day, you need to sleep well at night. Here are some simple things you can do to sleep better.

Be smart about what you eat and drink. Don't eat too much food for dinner. It will make you uncomfortable and keep you up. If you plan to go to bed by 10 p.m., it's best to stop drinking them after 2 p. m.

Relax for 30 minutes before bed. Both reading quietly and listening to music are great ways to relax.

Keep your bedroom dark, quiet and your bed comfortable. Noises and bright (明亮的) lights make it difficult to get a good sleep.

Go to bed at the same time every night. It's hard for your body to get into a healthy sleep habit if you go to bed at different times. Then follow the same routine (日程) each day, even on weekends.

After their parents took away the cloth, the twins were surprised to see a big board between then.

Dad asked, "What color is the board, my girls?" Lara opened her eyes and said, "It's black!" But Tara said, "It's white!" The two girls began to fight again.

Then, Mom asked the twins to exchange (交换) their places. They got a big surprise. They found out that each of them was right in her own place.

Most of us are like Lora and Tara. We are right most times, but thought that others are wrong!

Born in 1981, Guo Jingjing started diving at the age of 7. She practiced hard and quickly became very good at it. In 1993, she joined China's national diving team. Guo got hurt many times, but she never gave up. She got the title of world champion (冠军) 31 times in all. She also won 4 Olympic gold medals.

Guo stopped diving at the age of 30, but she still wanted to do something for China's diving team. She decided to become a referee. After years of hard work, she finally made it. When she appeared at the Paris Olympics, everyone was excited. "I will try my best to make sure that the diving competitions are fair (公平的)," she said.

Guo Jingjing would like to help others as long as she has time. She once helped poor children in villages go to school and live a better life.

These days, a middle school started a "No TV Week" program. According to the rule, all the students can't watch TV during the week.

"The idea is not to stop watching TV but for the students just to find how much time they spend watching TV and try to use this time for other things," one teacher said.

During the program, all the teachers, parents and students worked together for this program and most of them found it to be a very good one.

What did the students say about this "No TV Week"? One boy said, "I can't believe (相信) I haven't watched TV for a week, but it is fun doing it." A girl student said, "I'm going to stop watching all TV programs except for (除了) Animal World and other English teaching programs, I want to have more time to do things like walking and thinking. I enjoy this ‘No TV Week' very much.. ."

But not all the students thought it was good. Some students have different ideas, "I don't like ‘NO TV Week' because I like watching TV. I have lots of favorite programs but I can't watch them during the week. That makes me feel terrible," one student said. "Watching TV can help us relax. Also it can help us learn about lots of things. I think we need to watch our TV shows," said another student.

I live in a great place with lots of fun things to do. Sometimes I go on trips down the Merrimack River in my canoe (皮划艇) by (I). Other times, I enjoy the view (景色) from the top of a mountain with my family. We also enjoy (camp), fishing trips and trips to parks. All of these trips are (wonder) and we hope to do more of them! I have the most free time during the summer months. One of my favorite (activity) is to go canoeing with my friends. It's really nice. Sometimes, when it (get) very hot, we go swimming. sometimes I feel tired, I really enjoy these trips.

However, astronomy (天文学) is my great love. I have a little telescope (望远镜) that helps me see stars more (clear). I'm still learning how to use it, and every time I look it, I see something new and exciting in the sky and lose myself in my thoughts. The sky is like an infinite, awe-inspiring canvas (一张无边无际令人惊叹的画布), and I expect (learn) more about it!
