"Forget about Premier League (英格兰足球超级联赛) , go to watch the village super league" , some Chinese people might say to a football fan like this. The village super league or "Cun Chao" in Chinese, is a soccer game among different villages in Rongjiang, Guizhou. It was held from May 13th to July 29th in 2023. Twenty teams took part in it. The matches were so popular that at least one million people watched it on the field and more than 50 million online.

The football players come from different backgrounds. They are sellers, drivers, students, workers, etc. They come from different ethnic (民族的) groups, such as Miao, Dong, Shui, Han and Yao. Their ages are from 15 to over 40 years old. But when they put on their team uniforms and walk onto the field, they fight for their common love — football. 

Like "Cun Chao" , another village sports event called "CunBA" was also popular. The matches were held in Taipan village of Taijiang County, Guizhou Province. Four teams competed in the finals. The winner came out on March 27th, 2023, over 100,000 basketball fans went there to watch the exciting matches. 

Both "Cun Chao" and "CunBA" enjoy a long history in Guizhou. Football in Rongjiang dates back to the 1940s and basketball in Taipan dates back to 1936. At that time, there were no fields for villagers to do the sports. But hard conditions stopped no one. Now, with the support of the government, more people can take part in the events, enjoy sports and live a healthy life. At the same time, the sports events are also helping the development of these villages. 

One day a farmer's horse fell down into a well (井) . It cried sadly for 1 . The farmer tried to help the horse, but he found the well was so 2 that the horse couldn't get out of the well and finally he made a difficult decision to cover up the well.

The final of the men's 10 - meter air pistol shooting event of the Paris Olympics beganJuly 28th, 2024. Player Xie Yu represented the Chinese team. At first, Xie Yu's performance wasn't outstanding. But he was ranked the third in the elimination stage (淘汰阶段) after the first 10 shots. He got above 10.5 rings continuously and narrowed the gap (缩小差距) . Finally, Xie Yu made a stable performance with two 10 ring shots in the last two rounds, winning another gold medal the Chinese team in the shooting event. 

This has brought Chinese shooting back to the Pinnacle of the world after 16 years. It was a match where almost no one thought Xie Yu would win. Having been dropped from the national team and not being favored by many, Xie Yu finally himself. At the age of 24, he has come a long way from a small town in Bijie, Guizhou, proving to the world what a perfect combination (结合) of talent and effort looks like with a heavy Olympic gold medal. 

Shooting is inherently a lonely sport where athletes must engage in extremely monotonous, repetitive training to achieve an internal struggle within themselves. It is easy to practice the form, difficult to cultivate the mind. This is a contest between the athlete and their own self to achieve a transformation from quantitative to qualitative change. Only time can ultimately provide the answer.

More and more people believe that technologies are great for learning. Today, such teaching tools as iPads are used in a lot of courses, including language, history and science.

Many teachers are supporters（支持者）of using iPads in language learning. They say that students now have much more time for discussion in the classroom. Instead of spending class time listening to texts or watching teaching videos, students can do this on their own and come to class prepared for discussion.

The teachers also say that iPads allow students to learn at their own pace. Some students might listen to a conversation only once and understand it, so they can save time for doing other things. Other students, however, might need to listen to the same conversation again to understand it.

The students who are using the new tool in some courses are also happy. They believe that using iPads is a more enjoyable way to learn (such as listening to stories and watching movies ). The class has become much more interesting and creative.

There are other advantages（优点）for students. By using iPads, they can pay more attention to the material and learn more. Teaching notes are stored（分类）in their iPads and are easy to find. Some students spend more time studying now. "I can listen to my language material or watch teaching videos on the bus, instead of having to wait until I get home," a student explained.

Many adults complain that technologies such as iPads are bad for students. They worry that students might use iPads to download teaching notes and use them to cheat during exams. Some believe that iPads may separate（分隔）students from each other.

However, technologies are already a part of most students' day-to-day lives. As for cheating, teachers can ask students to hand in their iPads when they take exams. Education needs to make changes with the times as technology is playing an important part. We should look forward to a wonderful future when iPads and other technologies can add a lot to the classroom.
