Fashions（时尚）come and go, so you should wear what makes you happy. In fact, the idea of feeling good by what we wear has a name-dopamine（多巴胺）dressing. It comes from the book Dress Your Best Life written by Dawnn Karen, which talks about looking for joy through dressing. 

Dopamine is the feel-good chemical（化学物质）that our bodies make. For example, when we eat delicious food or listen to our favorite music, our brain releases more of it. This chemical then travels to different parts of the brain to make us feel happy. Similarly, Dopamine can be released by doing other things. "What about wearing something crazy or bright?" says Karen. In 2020, Karen started looking for ways to improve dopamine levels. She then created"dopamine dressing" which quickly became popular. 

The dopamine dressing style is the most energetic. Fashion stars often share their dopamine dressing with others. They challenge their creativity to add more colors to their wardrobes（衣柜）。

Of course, it's impossible for us to choose exactly which color we should wear to improve our feelings. And dopamine dressing doesn't suggest that we should all wear bright colors to feel happier. For some people, wearing black might bring more happiness than wearing bright colors. Different people have different feelings about colors. It's all about how you feel about a color. "Add more of your favorite colors to your wardrobe. Think about the colors that make you think of a happier time, a place or a person. " says Shakail a Forbes-Bell, a fashion expert. 

All in all, if you' re looking to get feelings of happiness through your clothing, you don't need to turn to a certain color. Which colors have you always loved? Just go for them. 

My dad was very crazy about Gaelic football. He would go to every game within a hundred miles. Though with no interest, I went too, with our long-eared dog Rebel, for I did love visiting all these strange towns. 

"Keep him on a leash(牵引绳). " my father warned. "If he runs off, you will never see him again!"Well, that was exactly what happened. 

I remember we arrived late at the town of Portumna, forty miles away. My father gave me some money and told me to meet him at the gate after the game. But as I was getting out of our car, Rebel jumped out, running and barking(吠叫) after the crowd. Free from its leash, Rebel ran quickly. The faster I ran, the faster he ran, and soon he was running along the banks of a river chasing hens. I watched him disappearing into the tall grass and spent the next few hours running around in the mud and calling his name. I ran so far that I got lost myself. Finally, a farmer found me and took me to the police station. When My father saw me, he was very angry. " ▲ " But I was too heartbroken to care. All I could think was Rebel. 

Keep your dog on a leash, especially when they are in a strange place. I was never worried that Rebel would attack(攻击) anyone, but the people he was barking at didn't know that, did they? I'm sure he scared a few people. Dogs may be our best friends, but sometimes they might not understand strangers and then may attack them. This is especially important if you have a dog in the city. 

Luckily, my story had the best ending ever. One week later, Rebel showed up on our doorstep, hungry and covered in mud. 

All around the world, buildings are going green! People are making green buildings. What does it mean to go green or to make a green building? A green building is designed in a way that is friendly to the environment. The building uses energy, water, and other materials in ways that are good for the environment. 

When planning green buildings, architectural designers must think about how to use energy, water, and materials in an environment-friendly way. There are many ways to save energy. They can design buildings to use natural light. Buildings can also be made with wind or solar（太阳能的）power to get energy from the sun or the wind. To save water, green buildings can have areas on the roofs（屋顶）to collect rainwater. Bathrooms can have toilets that use less water. As for the materials used to build the building, it is important to use materials that are good to the air or water. Recycled（回收的）materials can also be used for buildings. 

Buildings around the world use all three of these ways to go green. An office building called CH₂ in Melbourne, Australia, uses wind and solar power. A cultural center in London, England, is made from recycled train cars and is powered by solar and wind power. The Academy of Sciences building in California in the U. S. has recycled materials, solar energy, and a huge"living roof"of plants. A temple in Thailand is made from 1. 5 million recycled glass bottles! This is a good use of recycled materials, and it also lets natural light into the temple. 

More and more green buildings are being built and they are making the world a better place!

Outdoor activities are the best way to enjoy the natural beauty. 

Xu Xiake was a famous Chinese geographer, traveller and writer during the Ming Dynasty. He is widely known for his lifelong exploration of China's landscape and his travel notes. 

Born in Jiangyin, Jiangsu Province, Xu Xiake loved nature and dreamed of travelling. With his mother's support, he began his adventures at the age of 22. 

Xu Xiake chose to travel across China to explore its natural beauty and record his discoveries. Over 34 years, he visited 21 provinces, climbing mountains, exploring caves, and recording his discoveries. His journeys were often dangerous—he faced awful weather, wild animals, and even bandits(土匪)—but he never gave up. 

Xu's travel notes, compiled (编纂) into The Travels of Xu Xiake, are not only scientific records but also beautiful literature. They describe local customs, landscapes and Xu's personal experiences. The book gives an unusual view of China's geography and culture during the Ming Dynasty. 

Xu Xiake's spirit of adventure, love for nature, and dedication(奉献精神) to learning remind us to explore the world with an open mind. Even 400 years later, his work remains a symbol of human curiosity and the search for knowledge. 

New research has shown that the Moon is older than thought—it's 40 million years older. Scientists now believe it formed (形成) around 4.46 billion years ago. 

A long time ago, a big collision (碰撞) happened in space. A planet named Theia, about the size of Mars, hit the Earth. This caused magma (岩浆) to fly out into space. As the magma cooled, it became rocks that began flying around the Earth. Slowly, these rocks came together and formed the Moon. 

How do we know this? In 1972, astronauts collected rocks from the Moon. The rocks had a special kind of mineral (矿物质). It formed after the Earth and Theia collided. Recently, scientists used a new tool to study the mineral more clearly. This helped them work out how old the Moon really is. 

Why do we study the Moon? It's not just a shiny rock in the sky! It plays a big part in our lives. It makes our seasons change regularly and even changes the weather. Without the Moon, life on Earth might not be possible. 

Before astronauts travelled to the Moon, there were stories about how the Moon formed. Some people thought the Moon was floating (飘浮) through space and got caught by the Earth's gravity (引力). But no matter how it formed, one thing is for sure: the Moon is an amazing part of our universe. We are still learning about it. Keep looking up, and maybe one day you'll find something amazing too! 

Oceans cover about 71% of the Earth, but we still don't know much about them, especially(尤其) the deep sea. Why do we know so little about the deep sea? Because it is really difficult to get there and we need special machines to help us. In 1620, the first submarine(潜艇) was made. It could go underwater, but it couldn't go deeper than five meters. For many years, scientists thought there was no life deeper than 550 meters in the sea, so they didn't try to explore the deep sea much. But in 1862, some sea plants and animals were found at 945 meters deep under the sea. Just ten years later, more than 4,700 other new kinds were found from the ocean floor. 

With the help of science and technology, new machines like satellites now help explore the deep sea. But deep-sea exploration is still so difficult, because in the deep sea, it is freezing cold and completely dark. 

Understanding and exploring the deep sea can help control (控制) the Earth's temperature and produce clean gases in the air. It can also provide information about climate change. So scientists are still working hard on it. 

Imagine you are in a field at night, and suddenly, you see lots of little lights around you. You have just found a gathering of fireflies(萤火虫). Let's explore the secret of fireflies. 

How do fireflies make their tails shine? They can create their own light through a chemical reaction. It happens when two chemicals in their bodies combine (结合) and produce light. 

However, why do fireflies need to produce light in the dark? Fireflies use their lights to send "hello" messages to each other. Each kind of firefly has its own special way to shine. They use their lights as an invitation to get to know each other better so that they can have baby fireflies.

But fireflies also use their lights to stay safe. Imagine you are an adult firefly in the dark, and a big spider is trying to catch you. You turn on your light to make a sign that tells the spider, "I taste disgusting. You won't like me. So don't eat me." 

How amazing and wonderful the natural world is! Exploring the world of fireflies helps us see how important it is to take care of nature. 

Hi, I'm Mia. I like many different outdoor sports because they always bring me happiness and help me relax. However, snorkeling(浮潜) is one of my favourite outdoor sports. On sunny days, I often go snorkeling with my friends. 

Last Sunday, it was sunny. I took a bus to a beach on the other side of the island with friends. We put on snorkels, fins (脚蹼), and masks. Then our coach told us the safety rules before we jumped into the clear blue water. 

The sunlight shone through the water and we swam happily around looking at the fish. Some were very brightly coloured, and some had special markings. The coral (珊瑚) was beautiful too. Lots of little fish swam among it. I was excited to see this magical underwater world. Every time I snorkel, I feel like a hunter searching for new and exciting things underwater. 

I love snorkeling. On the one hand, it is my way to explore nature. On the other hand, this fun sport makes my body stronger, especially my heart and lungs. I think it's an excellent sport. Why not have a try?
