Lisala Folau is a 57-year-old man. He lives on a small island in Tonga. On the evening of January 15. 2022, of volcanic eruptions（火山爆发），tsunami waves(海啸波）hit Tonga. Lisala was painting his house when he the news from his brother—the tsunami was coming.

In these years, electric(电动的) cars are popular in our daily life. But do you know the electric plane? The company Eviation made the world's first fully electric plane. The plane is called Alice. In September 2022,it made its first flight(飞行) in Washington, the US and flew in the sky for about eight minutes.

The plane can carry nine passengers(乘客）and two pilots at the same time. Also it is very quiet and makes almost no waste gases(废气).There are 21.500 small batteries(申池)on the plane. They weigh 4,000 kg, half of the plane's weight. Together, they make the plane able to fly for one to two hours.

Because it is fully electric, it is cheap to fly the plane. But it is very expensive to make the plane. So nobody knows if electric planes will be a common way to travel around in the future.

Logan Ober is 17 years old and lives in California. He is in his last year at Rancho Cotate High School. Logan is good at fixing computers. 

Last year, Logan asked his computer science teacher Kristi McWilliams if he could try to fix some broken computers. McWilliams said yes. It turned out that she was wrong. Logan returned days later with three working computers. This surprised McWilliams greatly. She said Logan might know more about fixing computers than she does!

He said this could help reduce(减少)e-waste. When he finished fixing a broken computer, he would give it away to a person or a group who needed it. 

But thanks to Logan, people can have computers for free. Logan is happy that he can use his skills to help people. He wishes that he can get a job in the technology(科技) company Apple.

Bill likes drinking beer. And he always drinks too much and gets drunk  One Saturday, he went to a bar and drank. When he   the bar in the afternoon, he was drunk. When he got home, Bill thought he should do something else for the rest of the day. He decided to go ice fishing.  he took his fishing gear (渔具) and went looking around and found a big patch of ice.

"That's  place I'm looking for. There must be lots of fish under the ice." Bill said to  . He headed to the center of the ice and began to chisel (凿) a fishing hole. All of a sudden, a loud voice came  the sky. "You will find nothing under that ice," the voice said.

The drunk man was scared and looked around, but he saw no one. So he started chiseling again. Once more, the voice spoke, "As I said before, there are no fish under the ice." Bill looked all around again, high and low, but didn't see a single person nearby. He picked up the ice chisel and tried one more time . Before he could even start, the loud voice came again, "I have warned you three  now. There are no fish here. Go away, you drunk!"

Bill was very  . He asked the voice, " do you know there are no fish? Are you a fairy under the ice who is trying to warn me?" 

"No," the voice answered, "I am the manager of this outdoor ice skating rink (溜冰场)."

Orion Jean, a little boy, had a big dream—spreading kindness. It started in 2020. Orion got $ 500 after winning the US National Kindness Speech Competition (美国国家善心演讲比赛). He wanted to spend the money  his favorite toys Lego at first, but he quickly realized (意识到) that it was not enough to just give a speech to spread kindness. He  to do more, so he set up the "Race to Kindness" project (项目).
