Maybe you have to get up early for school, but research shows that poor sleep can bring many problems, So should schools start earlier or later? We asked some readers for their opinions. 

Ahava thinks schools should start later. Here are her reasons: First, as teenagers, our brain and body need more sleep to work and grow; Second, starting and finishing early is hard for families. Parents may need to leave work early to pick up their kids from school; Third, when kids don't get enough sleep, they can be irritable, so they might have problems with classmates and even fight with each other. 

However, David has different opinion. He thinks starting school earlier helps students become early risers(早起者). This is a healthy habit that brings positive energy and helps us feel more active in the morning. Also, starting school earlier means that school would end earlier, so students have more time for important after-school activities. An earlier start can help students plan their time better and live a healthier life.

At 10:00 a. m. on November 17, 2024 Yiwu Half Marathon started! Runners from 21 countries joined, like Ethiopia, India and France. Runners from Africa showed great skills- Bune from Ethiopia won the men's race and Derbe from Ethiopia won the women's race. 

The race went past 7 cultural places in Yiwu. The runners enjoyed beautiful nature and rich culture when they were running-it was like a tour while racing!

Yiwu Half Marathon has been running for 8 years, and it's a popular race loved by runners in the world. The race is approved(认可) by World Athletics. That means runners can get points to improve their world ranking(排名). "I love Yiwu. I can race and experience Chinese culture, too. I feel Yiwu's warmth and make new friends here", said Bune. 

The Yiwu Half Marathon isn't just a sports game. It's also a great way to show how beautiful Yiwu is. More and more people visit Yiwu, making it a more international city!

My friend

I have a good friend. 

There was a bar(酒吧)with the name "The White Horse". A picture of a white horse was on the door of the bar. It was Mr Webster's. Few(很少) people went to the bar. 

One day, Mr Wilson came in, drank a cup, watched the bar and said to Mr Webster, ""Few people come here. Take down (拿下) the picture of the white horse and put up a picture of a black horse. " """But the name of the bar is . . . " Mr Webster said. ""Yes, but do it. " said Mr Wilson. 

After that, Mr Webster went to a store and said, "I want a picture of a black horse. " The next day, a picture of a black horse was on the door of the bar. 

Then, a man came in and asked, "The name is The White Horse, but why do you put a picture of a black horse on the door?" The man sat down and asked for a cup. Later, a second man came in and asked the same question, and a third man Many people came n and said, "The picture on the door is not right. "After that, they al sat down and drank in Mr Webster's bar. 

Long long ago, there was a farmer. He wanted to eat nice food every day, but he did not like working. 

One day, the farmer slept under a tree near his farm. Suddenly(突然), a rabbit ran into the tree and died (死亡). The farmer woke up and saw the dead (死亡的)rabbit beside him. He was very excited. He took the rabbit home and had a big dinner that evening. 

The next day, the farmer did not go to work on his farm. He sat under the same tree and waited for more rabbits. He waited and waited, but no rabbit came. 

The farmer waited there day after day. In the end, he didn't get anything.
