Dong Yutong is a 10-year-old girl from China. She enjoys playing diabolo（空竹）in her free time. It's her favorite sport. Playing diabolo is a very old way of having fun in China. It has a history of over six hundred years.

Dong's parents are busy with their work and have no time to look after her, so Dong lives with her grandparents in Beijing. They like playing diabolo very much. In their home, there are over 70 diabolos in different colors and sizes.

Dong's grandpa Dong Shulin is 67 years old. He is good at playing it now. And he likes to teach others to do tricks. Every time he plays it in the park near his home, many people come over to watch his shows. His granddaughter Dong Yutong is his first student. "Playing diabolo needs many skills. It is not easy to learn these skills well. I want to let more people, not only the old but also the young, learn about and fall in love with this traditional sport," says Dong Shulin.

Dong Yutong' s grandma, Mei Yongpei, can play diabolo very well, too. She usually goes to nearby middle schools to teach the students there to play diabolo three or four times a week. "Playing diabolo not only brings us great fun, but also is a good way of doing physical（身体的）exercise. Playing it doesn't take us much time, but it is very good for our health," she says.

People listen to music for different reasons and at different times. Sometimes it  us happy and sometimes it makes us sad. Why is music important to many people in  life? Most people think it is  to listen to music. Playing or listening to music can  back old memories and feelings. It's a good way to help old people remember the  when they were young.

I like listening to music  my free time. When I'm happy, I will listen to old music. When I'm a little tired, I would  to listen to some soft music. When I'm sad, I will listen to some inspiring（鼓舞人心的）songs. Yesterday, I didn't do  in my exam and I was very sad. I didn't know what to do,  I listened to music. The song I Believe You gave me a lot of hope. I thought I must a good way to learn English well.

Tigers are one of the most powerful and beautiful animals in the world. They have a strong body and sharp teeth. Tigers usually have orange fur with black stripes. They look very handsome.

Tigers live in the forests of Asia. They are very good hunters. They can run very fast and catch other animals easily. Tigers are at the top of the food chain in the forest. They play an important role in keeping the balance of nature.

However, tigers are in great danger now. Some people hunt and kill tigers for their fur and bones. Some people cut down trees and destroy the tigers' homes. As a result, the number of tigers is becoming smaller and smaller.

We should do something to save tigers. We should stop hunting and killing tigers. We should protect their homes and make more laws to stop people from doing bad things to tigers.

Do you like your art lessons? I like mine very much. At my school, Miss Brown teaches art lessons. I have the art lessons on Tuesday and Thursday. There, we use many things to make art, such as paints（涂料）and colored pencils.

Some of my classmates like painting animals, such as dogs, cats, birds, pandas and so on. We all like Eric' s pandas. They are so cute and lovely. Cindy is really good at drawing birds. The birds she draws look beautiful and real.

I really enjoy using clay（黏土）to make a sun. I use a knife to cut the clay into a sun shape （形状）. I also draw eyes, a nose and a mouth on the sun. The sun is smiling. I also use clay to make all kinds of flowers with my best friend, Frank. Sometimes we give the flowers to our teachers to show our love.

This summer, many young people like a new kind of shoes, Crocs in China. You can see these shoes here and there in the street.1 do people like them so much?
