When a teen and a parent argue, it does not mean that something is wrong with their relationship. It just means that they see things in different ways. 

In the early years of children's lives, parents are the most important people in their world. As children get older and have more contact with other people than their parents, their behavior will be influenced (影响) by other people. 

Building up independence

As teens build up independence, parents need to understand a number of points. They are still the most important people in their children's lives while teens are trying to become adults. One of their greatest difficulties is becoming independent while keeping a loving relationship with parents. 

Fighting for control

When children are young, many parents keep control over most parts of their children's life. As children grow older, they realize they can never grow into adults without having control of their lives. As a result, teens begin to fight for control. In this period, even a simple topic can trigger a disagreement. 

In fact, teens are still worried about losing the most important thing in their lives, the love of parents. At the same time, parents may feel happy about teens' abilities to care for them. It is important that everyone cares so greatly about each other.

What are some ways parents can use to break the cycle of disagreements with their teens? First of all, be aware that teenagers must become independent to become adults. 

If becoming independent is the task of children, then the task of parents must be to help their children reach independence. 

Also, parents should try to keep the communication lines open and be a good example for their teens to follow. Sometimes parents may need to learn new ways to deal with their own problems, instead of allowing the teen's fight for independence to mix with their problems.

When I was little, my father loved to play catch (抛接球游戏) with me. I wasn't very 1 , but he would encourage me. He was 2 telling me "keep your eye on the ball" as sometimes I couldn't 3 the easiest of throws.

The Dragon Boat Festival is an amazing Chinese festival on 5th May of Chinese Lunar Calendar. People remember Qu Yuan, a brave poet, by holding dragon boat races. Summer is a p season to hold the celebrations. Nothing is better than taking part in water sports on such hot days.

During the boat races, every team plays against each other on the river at the s of about 20 kilometers per hour. Rowers (划船者) listen to the drumbeats and row together with all their efforts to rush towards the finish line quickly. Of course, s is important, so players wear life jackets (救生衣) outside. Besides races, families make zongzi at home. And all family members will have a big meal together.

Yu Min was an important Chinese nuclear physicist (核物理学家), and he is honored as "the father of Chinese Hydrogen Bomb (氢弹)".

In 1961 when Yu was given the task of researching on the hydrogen bomb, he accepted it without thinking. For the next 28 years, he kept his work a secret and stayed hidden from the public. Even his wife didn't know his job.

To develop China's own hydrogen bomb quickly, Yu worked day and night. He guided his team to create a complete design after three months of calculations (计算). After working in hard environment for a long time, his body became weak. But he never gave up. On October 16,1964, China's first atomic bomb exploded (原子弹爆炸) successfully. Later, on June 17,1967,China's first hydrogen bomb exploded, making China the fastest country to go from atomic to hydrogen bombs, much quicker than the USA (7 years), France (8.5 years) or the UK (4.5 years).

Yu came back to public view in 1999 receiving the "Two Bombs, One Satellite Merit Award" for his work, together with some other scientists such as Sun Jiadong, Qian Sanqiang, Qian Xuesen and Deng Jiaxian and so on. In 2015, Yu Min won the National Science and Technology Award. In January 2019, Yu Min passed away, leaving his deep love for the country and his memorable contributions.
