At six o'clock, my father goes home. He usually gets home at 6:45. Sometimes he helps my mother cook dinner. After dinner he always helps me with my homework. In the evening my father reads books. He loves reading. 

On weekends he does different things. Sometimes he goes to the library. He reads books there. Sometimes he goes to a concert (演唱会). My father loves music but I think the concerts are boring. He doesn't see any films on weekends. He often watches TV in the evening on weekends.

I love books and my schoolbag keeps them for me. I don't mean only schoolbooks. I mean my story books, too. Now I am reading Peter Rabbit.After that, I will read Tom Sawyer. 

My schoolbag also has my lunch box. Mom puts a good lunch in my schoolbag every school day. Sometimes she puts a note in it. That way, I feel happy all the afternoon. 

Sometimes my schoolbag is very heavy, but I don't mind (介意). It has everything I need. It's like a home on my back.

A Letter to My Best Friend

Dear Lily, 

Hi! How are you? I miss you so much. I want (tell) you about my new school life, but I also want to say thank you—you were such a great friend to me. 

When I first moved to your school, I was very shy. I didn't know anyone, and I was afraid to talk. But you walked up to me and said, "Hi! I'm Lily. Let's be friends. " That day, I felt so happy. You (help) me learn the school rules, and you introduced me to your other friends. We (play) together every break time—we jumped rope and played hide-and-seek. Those were such fun times!
