I'm in a new school now. . Let me tell you now.

In the morning, we have four classes. The first class starts at 8:00 a.m. It is always math, English or Chinese.  I think it's easy and interesting. The second (第二) class begins at 9: 00 a.m. After the second class, we do some sports and eye exercises (眼保健操).

 And then we go home to have lunch.

In the afternoon, we have PE, art or music.  In the PE class, I can play sports with my classmates. 

Our classes are over at 5: 00 p.m. Then we can go home. I often do my homework first, and then I read books with my parents at home.

I'm Li Tao. I love school, because I can learn, play and make many friends here. I'd like to tell you something about our school.

Our school is very nice and clean. It has a small garden. Lots of different flowers and trees are in the garden. The school isn't far from my home. It's about 2 km. I usually take the yellow school bus to school.

Our school has many high buildings. It has a computer room. It also has a big playground and a store. My favorite is the big library. I can read many interesting books there. The teaching building is also very big. Many classrooms and five teachers' offices (办公室)are in it. My school has classes from Grade 7 to Grade 9.

Our school has about 80 teachers. They're kind to students.

●8: 40—9: 10 Morning reading: We read our textbooks. If it is Monday, we usually have a flag-raising ceremony (升旗仪式). We sing the national anthem (国歌) and our school songs. 

●9: 10—9: 50 First class: We have Chinese, maths and English every day. One of my favorite classes is computer studies. I learn programming skills to make simple online games or even music. 

●9: 50—10: 30 Second class: Another class I enjoy is general studies (常识课). This class is about knowledge of different subjects. 

●10: 55—11: 35 Third class

●11: 35—12: 15 Fourth class: I think the most difficult class is visual arts (视觉艺术). It's not just about drawing but about architecture and design (建筑和设计). Once, my classmates and I built a city. We first made the design on a computer and then made a building with cardboard. 

●12: 15—12: 55 Fifth class

●12: 55—13: 50 Lunch break: A cooking company sends our lunch to school. I like char siu (叉烧) rice most. We can also bring homemade lunches to school. 

●13: 50—14: 30 Sixth class

●14: 30—15: 10 Seventh class: We have PE classes twice a week. 

●15: 10—15: 40 Eighth class

●15: 40 School is over.

③I like the school library very much. A．lot of books are in it. I always read books with my friends there. If you can't find the book you want, please ask the teachers there for help. They're all nice. 

④I also like the dining hall (餐厅). There are a lot of tables and chairs, big televisions and ping-pong tables. We can watch TV and play ping-pong there. 

⑤There is a lost and found office near the dining hall. If you lose your things, you can put a lost notice (通告)with your name and phone number on the bulletin board (宣传栏). It can help you to find your lost things. 

⑥All in all, I love my school.

My name is Lily. I'm a middle school student. Now I am in my 1 . It's a modern classroom. It's 2 and tidy. You can see a blackboard on the front wall. And there is also a 3 whiteboard.

This is my seat. There is a book, an eraser and a pencil on my desk. My other books are in my desk 4 . I don't want to put all my things in the desk drawer because we 5 seats every week. I put them in the locker.

My good friend Mona's seat is next 6 mine. Mona is in the 7 now. She likes reading and often 8 a lot of time there. It's easy for her to get books from the 9 corner.

The School Day of Green Tree Middle School

Date: Monday, 9th November  

Time: 9:30 a.m.—1:30 p.m.

For visitors (参观者) to our school, we have some interesting and fun things for you. It can be a busy day. At 9:30, our head teacher Mr Zhang will talk about our school in the school library. Then, you can ask teachers for more activities. At 10:30, you can watch a basketball game in the playground for an hour or you can come to other clubs to find more interesting things. After that, you can visit the dining hall from 11:30 to 12:30. It is lunchtime and you can also sit down and have some food like chicken, rice, fish and some fruit. And you can do some reading at the reading bar or have a break at the coffee bar, too. Have a good day!

Taking part in sports activities can help keep fit. In our daily life, older people usually  (get) up early and go to the park to exercise, practising Tai Chi, for example. Middle-aged and young people would like  (go) to a gym after work. Children like to have all  (kind) of sports training classes. 

To most Chinese people, they like to see sports as  relaxing activity. For them, relaxing both body  mind is important. It feels good to do exercise  one hour every day. However, time spent on sports and exercise by people of different  (age) is different. Young people and older people spend more time joining in sports activities. Only 40% of middle-aged people do exercise every day. We seldom see  (they) on the sports field. In China, people usually join in some popular sports, like mountain-climbing,  (swim), fast walking, cycling and some ball games. All of these activities are  (real) interesting. As well, some common but popular sports activities that city people like are square dance, roller-skating and bowling.

The Lake District is a beautiful place in England. It is in the country (郡) of Cumbria. Many  live and work there. The most famous Lake District writer is Beatrix Potter.  famous book is The Tale of Peter Rabbit.

People in Cumbria  a dialect (方言). They have different words for many . Here I can list some. A "fell" is a mountain, a "beck" is a small river and a "bairn" is a , like your younger brother or sister.

My father likes going to the Lake District for holiday. He walks and  the "fells". Also, he goes swimming and fishing. But there  something that you need to know: the Lake District is the wettest (最潮湿) part of England.

In summer, the  weather changes a lot. It can be warm and sunny, but there's often a lot of rain, too. The "fells" are foggy (有雾的) for the whole year. So climbers and walkers need to be  careful.

Next time, what about visiting the Lake District? But before you go, the  thing you should take is your raincoat and an umbrella.
