Keep Shadow Puppet Plays Alive(有生机的)

Shadow puppet plays are one of China's traditional art forms. Wang Weifang is an inheritor(传承人) of this art. Today he will introduce all about shadow puppet plays to us. 

Q1: What do You do every Saturday?

Wang Weifang: Every Saturday, I perform shadow puppet plays with my friends in a small town near Xi'an.  they only see the shadows of our puppets. 

Q2: How are the puppets made?

Wang Weifang:  Each puppet is painted in bright colors and attached to a stick. Some even have movable arms and legs. 

Q3: How do you perform the shadow puppet play?

Wang Weifang: We stand behind a white screen with lights shining from behind. We hold the puppets close to the screen so the audience(观众) in front of the screen can see the shadows clearly. 

Q4: But the art is not popular today, why do you still work on it?

Wang Weifang: Unluckily, with TV and films, it's not as popular as before. But shadow puppet plays are an ancient Chinese art and they're part of our culture.

Goddard-Hill also thinks it's a good idea to have a positive(积极) self-talk three times every morning or spend 15 minutes a day for yourself. 

Nowadays, the US social media (社交媒体) star, IShowSpeed, has become super popular in China. 

Born in 2005, IShowSpeed, whose real name is Darren Watkins Jr. , became famous for live streaming(直播) sports games and his travels across Europe and Asia. He has a large number of followers on YouTube. Chinese fans call him "Jia Kang Ge(甲亢哥) because of his excited feelings and big body language. 

In late March, he started a live-streaming tour in China, visiting places like Shanghai, Beijing, Henan, Sichuan and Chongqing. He experienced Chinese history and culture, tasted local food, and met excited fans and people from all walks of life. 

In Shanghai, he joined park activities and learned about China's electric cars. In Henan province, he visited the Shaolin Temple and learned kungfu. There, kungfu master Liang Xiaolong told him, "It's pain, but it's life. It's pain, but it's Shaolin. It's pain, but it's kungfu. It's pain, but it's you. "

IShowSpeed's videos give a real picture of what China is like and are changing how people around the world see the country.

"I saw it first!" said Kaylie. 

"I touched it first!" I said. 

"I think I did, " said Jasmine. 

Nobody gave in. We all just stood there for a few time, looking at each other angrily. What's worse,  that was the last one. 

We were all so angry that we just left and said we'd meet here in half an hour. 

When we met again, we agreed to forget the pretty bracelet and planned to choose others. Luckily, at that time, Chai showed us a box of pink elephants. ""I have some beads and string at home, " said Jasmine. "We could go to make our own elephant bracelets right now. " Kaylie said, "We got the very best things in the whole fair!"

Walking away and taking a break worked really well for us. Once we had time to calm down, we saw that there might be more than one answer to our problem.
