Hi, I'm Teng Fei. I'm now a middle school student. I love my school very much. I'd like to tell you something about my school life.

Hello, everybody. My name is Peter. I was born (出生) on December 29th, 2011. I'm in a middle school. I like our school very much. 

Today is Monday, October 27th. This is a busy day in the week. In the morning, at 8:00, I have Chinese. Chinese lesson is interesting. Our Chinese teacher, Mr Wang, has a good way to make his lesson interesting. All the students in our class like him. Then at 9 o'clock, we have maths. I don't like maths, because it's difficult. At 10:10, I have English. And at 11:10, I have P.E. That's my favorite subject. I have lunch at school at 12 o'clock. In the afternoon, I have two lessons. At 2:00, I have science. It's difficult but interesting. After that I have music. Music is relaxing. I like my music teacher, too. She is young and beautiful. Then we can go to different clubs.

I'm in a football club. Football is my favorite sport.

Jim is a student at university (大学). He has a busy timetable. Jim  (study) engineering (工程学) at the university. He takes five courses. They are science, maths, English, engineering and history. His favourite  (subject) are science and maths. Jim is a busy student. He gets up at 6 am every weekday. He has many  (class) every week.

It's Tuesday, 12th November. I'm really busy today because I have classes all day.  I think Chinese is interesting and I like it very much. Then at nine I have an English class. It's interesting. At ten, I have a history class. It's boring.  At eleven, I have a music class. That's my favourite subject! I eat lunch at twelve and after that I have a rest (休息)!  I have a geography class. My geography teacher is Mr. Wang.  We all like him very much. I have a maths class at three. It's difficult. All my classes finish at four.  That's all my day at school.

This is a true story in my life.

When I'm in Grade 7, I have too many subjects every day. Of all the subjects, I don't like maths at all, because it's too difficult for me.

One day, when I come back from school, I say to my mother, "I don't want to learn maths. I don't know what the teacher talks about in class. So I meet lots of maths problems." My mother replies calmly (平静地回应说), "Don't be worried, my girl. I can help you." "That's great!"

Then I start to study maths with my mother for an hour after school every evening. I like her methods (方法). I fall in love with maths again. And I don't think it's that difficult now.

Another day, before I go to bed, I see my mother doing something in front of the computer. In fact, she's studying maths on the Internet. I know why she is good with numbers. From that moment, I understand Mother's special love.

I will never forget my first English class. It is very interesting. It's the first class in the morning.

The teacher goes into the classroom with a smile on his face. At the beginning, he makes a self-introduction. And he tells us that his English name is John. Then he asks all of us to think of English names for ourselves. We are very excited to find a good name. Then he asks us to write our names down on a piece of paper. I think about my English name for a long time. Then I come up with a beautiful name—Shirley.

All the students write their names down and give the paper to the teacher. When the teacher calls "Shirley" to answer his question, three girls stand up at the same time.

Now some Chinese students in middle schools have one labour (劳动) class a week. How do students like the new subject? Let's have a look. 

In our school, students learn to grow vegetables. We have a labour class on Friday. We grow carrots, potatoes and we grow strawberries too. We like the labour class very much. It is really relaxing.

Frost (霜) is a layer (一层) of ice. It can freeze (冻结) over things like plants and windows. It only happens at certain (某些) times of the year.

During fall and spring the weather is changing from hot to cold or from cold to hot. It is perfect (完美的) for frost. During the day if it's warm enough, the air can hold (保存) on to a bit of water vapor (蒸气). ①Water vapor is water in the air as an invisible (看不见的) gas. But if at night the air gets colder, the gas (气体) will turn into liquid (液体的；液体) water again. ②So sometimes in the morning we can see the grass is wet (湿的) even if it didn't rain last night.

The water in the grass actually (实际上) comes from the air. There is a special (特殊的) name for water in the air turning into a liquid like this. It's called condensation (凝结).

If it's only a little cold, the water on the grass will stay the way. This makes the ground and plants a bit wet in the morning. But if the weather is just right—it's warm during the day and can get very cold at night, the water on the grass will freeze into frost.

Welcome snowy days! Major Snow, the 2lst solar term (节气) of the year, falls on Dec 6 this year. It is the symbol of the b of midwinter. 

There's a Chinese saying "A fall of snow keeps to a fruitful year." Most farmers welcome snow because snow can p rice and wheat from cold weather and keep the fields warm. When it melts (融化), it also can give enough w for the crops—rice and wheat in spring.

People enjoy winter fun around the solar term. The amazing season is also good for skiing and s. In northern China, there are many places for n snow and ice. For example, Heilongjiang and Jilin Provinces often have big snows in November. People can plan to play s ahead. In the fields full of snow, they spread snow i the air. What a beautiful picture! But people in the south will stay indoors to e the winter activities. We have lots of fun in snowy days b the snow is an amazing gift of nature. But people should be c with sickness. During Major Snow, it is dry and cold, so people should drink enough water. At the same time, don't drink cold water after exercising.

Lixia, or the Start of Summer, is the  of the 24 Chinese solar terms which falls on May 6 of this year. It symbolizes (象征) the passing from spring  summer.

With the heat (温度) of summer, plants and crops will begin to grow much . So farmers are always happy to welcome the arrival of Lixia. This is  best time of the year to plant early rice in the southern part of China. Chinese has  of old sayings that are used to warn people not to be lazy during this period of time.

In China, people celebrate the day of Lixia in different ways. For example, in some places people cook "Five-Colored Rice". Usually, it is made from five  of beans (豆) — mung bean, red bean, yellow bean, black bean and green bean. It stands for people's good wishes for a colorful life. People also have the custom (习俗) of  some different kinds of fresh fruits and vegetables. On the day of Lixia, children will wear a bag with an egg around their necks in some areas. This is believed to help keep  safe and healthy. Other  of Lixia include the singing of beautiful folk songs. And people also weigh themselves on Lixia. When the summer , they'll weigh themselves again to see how many pounds they have lost during the hot season.
