Many kids help parents to do chores (家务活) in the house. They may take out the rubbish, walk the dog or sweep the floor. In return, some kids get money or other rewards (报酬) from their parents, such as 20 minutes to play computer games.
But some people do not think that kids should get rewards for doing chores. One of them is Jane Smith, a parenting educator and family coach. She believes if kids get rewards, they may think that work isn't worth (值得) doing unless you get something in return. For example, kids won't sweep the floor if they see it is dirty. But they will do it if their parents reward them for it.
"Every house is a team effort (努力)," Jane said. "A home is a living place for everyone in the family. It's important for kids to see that we all have a responsibility (责任) to keep our home clean."
Other people hold different opinions. They believe that money or other rewards encourage kids to do more chores. It also teaches them real world lessons. They can learn about how we need to work to make money.
Now, there are also apps that encourage kids to do chores. The apps give kids points and digital (电子的) gifts that can be used either online or in life. With the app ChoreMonster, kids earn (赚得) digital points after doing chores. Kids can use their points to get real rewards, such as time to play video games or a trip to the mall. "Our goal is to encourage kids so they can earn rewards," says Joe Black, the founder of ChoreMonster.
"Kids need positive (积极的) power to make them do chores."

Some parents are used to doing almost everything for their children. They see their children as babies all the time! It can be a very common problem in China, because most parents only have one child in China. Some parents care so much about the safety of their children that they are afraid to let them go anywhere or do anything by themselves. So their children fail to learn the social skills and become more dependent on them!
In fact, no children really enjoy being looked after by their parents all the time. No parents would be happy knowing that. Because of too much care, their children know little about the world. Children need their own time to grow into adults and to learn how to deal with problems. Too much care will deprive (剥夺) them of the fun of growing up. And when suddenly they can't depend on their parents, these children will be in a big trouble!
It's nice that parents show their care to their children. It's also nice that children know that their parents' care is out of love. And it will be nicer if the children let their parents know how much love they really need and how much love is too much.

Chinese children under 18 will now face strict limitations on their online gaming time, with an average of just three hours per week allowed under new regulations. Specifically, they can only play between 8 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays. This move aims to protect the mental and physical well-being of young Chinese, as video game addiction has become a pressing issue. Gaming companies have to make sure real-name registration (注册) is carried out and get checked more often by the government.
Video game addiction has become a significant issue among the younger generation in China. Recently, an article in a government-connected newspaper has criticized video games as "spiritual opium (精神鸦片)". In terms of this, some major gaming companies such as Tencent and NetEase, although facing a decrease in their stock prices, have expressed their support for these new measures. These measures aim to solve the growing problem of game addiction and promote a healthier lifestyle for children.
However, the gaming companies might not be able to control their young customers. Some children have been reported to use their older family members' identities or even pay to use adult strangers' identities to extend their gaming time. This emphasizes the need for both stricter supervision and education to help children understand the importance of controlled gaming time.

B、The increasing popularity of gaming among young people. C、The need for gaming companies to develop more games for children. D、The importance of family members monitoring children's gaming time.(4)、What is the writer's attitude towards the current situation?A、Positive. B、Negative. C、Doubtful. Born as the only child of my parents, I am the "king" in the family. My parents are both businessmen and they come home every two weeks. Because they don't spend much time with me, they always feel guilty and will buy me many expensive things and let me do whatever I want. My grandparents never let me do any chores because they want me to do my schoolwork.
I never said "thank you" to people. As time went by, I found that my classmates didn't like me any more and my best friends left me, because they thought I was selfish (自私的) and never thought about others.
I noticed that all the popular kids in the class are friendly to others. They always smile and say "thank you" to others. They do whatever they can to help when others are in trouble, other kids like them and always play with them. "I need to change! I will get my friends back." I said to myself. From then on, I started to change myself. I learned to say "thank you" to others. I smiled and helped others as much as I could. Gradually, I found that other kids liked to talk with me and they would ask me to play with them. My friends came back to me again.
Now I have more friends and I am happier than I used to be.
