The world is full of amazing animals and insects. They can do wonderful things and there are many interesting stories about them.

Chameleons (变色龙) are famous because they are able to change colours. You can't easily see them after they change according to the colour around them. They use the skill to get their food. Chameleons have long tongues (舌头) . Their tongues can shoot out to catch insects. Their two eyes can move separately (分别地) . This allows them to look at things on their left and right at the same time.

Kangaroos (袋鼠) mainly live in Australia. They have strong hind legs. This allows them to jump a long way. Kangaroos carry their babies in a pouch on their body until babies are big enough to live on their own.

Lions are big cats. They are one of the biggest cats like tigers. Only male lions have large manes (鬣毛) around their necks.

Lions run very fast. They can catch small animals because they are good at running. Lions can run at a speed of 80 km per hour. Some lions can jump up to 12 meters high in one jump!

Lions mainly live in Africa. They can live in the wild for up to 16 years. Lions don't live alone. Lions live together in a group called a pride. A pride has male lions, female lions and a few baby lions.

Lions can be called "the King of the Jungle" because they are at the top of the food chain (食物链). They eat meat. They don't eat plants.

Running is becoming popular these days. Many of us run for our health. Doctors say many health problems come from these bad habits: eating and drinking too much, smoking and not taking enough exercise. Doctors tell us, "Eat and drink less, don't smoke, and exercise more."

Running is a good way of exercise because it helps to build a strong heart. It also helps most people lose weight. One 68-year-old woman runs three times a week. "I love to eat," she says. She runs to lose weight.

Running is good for health in other ways, too. Many runners say running keeps colds and other small health problems away. "Running is my doctor," says one man.

Running can also help people to relax. So today men and women of all ages enjoy running.

The Healthy Diet Made Me

For the past 60 years, French kids didn't have to wear school uniforms. They could wear anything they liked to school. But now, things are  (change).
