Hello, everyone! My name is Liu Wei. I am 12 years old. I was born in Nanjing. I am a friendly and honest (诚实的) boy. I have a happy family. There are four people in my family—my father, my mother, my sister and me. 

My father looks strong. He is a doctor in a hospital near my home. He is so busy that he has no time to play with me. But I know he loves me. He likes running, swimming and playing basketball. 

My mother is tall and slim. Her hair is long and black. She has many hobbies. She is good at planting vegetables and flowers. She also enjoys traveling with me. My mother does a lot for me. She always looks after me well. And she is very strict (严格的) about my study. 

My sister is 13 years old. Her name is Liu Li. She has big eyes. She looks cute. In her free time, she likes reading, dancing and listening to music. We study in the same school. She is good at all her lessons. She wants to be a Chinese teacher when she grows up. 

I love my family very much. I hope all my family members always stay happy and healthy. 

Pen Pals (笔友)

We are learning how to write friendly letters at school. I don't mind (介意) writing practice letters, but it will be more fun to write a 1 letter to someone. 

Today, our teacher, Mrs. Snow says that we really are going to write a letter to someone! We all start 2 at once. Mrs. Snow asks us to quiet (安静) down again so that she can finish. She says we are going to write to some students of Grade Seven in 3 to see what life is like in England. That sounds so 4 ! I can't wait to get started. Mrs. Snow hands out the 5 of our pen pals, and asks us to use what we learned about friendly letters to write to our pen pals. My pen pal's name is Oliver. 

The only things Mrs. Snow says we have to write in our letter are two 6 :" Which holidays do you have in the year?" and " What do you like to play?" We also have to answer those questions in 7 letters. 

It takes a few weeks, but the day we get 8 back from our pen pals is an exciting (令人兴奋的) one! Oliver plays video games like we do over here. Their holidays are a lot of the 9 holidays we have, like April Fool's Day! One holiday they celebrate (庆祝) that I don't is Boxing Day. It is interesting to 10 what is the same and what is different about living in different countries. I can't wait to learn more about my new pen pal!

I love my school very much because I have some great classmates there. They can all do different things. 

This is Helen. She is good at (sing). She can play  guitar very well, we all like watching her making great music. Every day, she has to take part in the school band practice. 

Tom is really cool (help). He is happy to make  (friend) with young people. He says he is willing  (help) me with my English. 

Charles  (do) well in sports. He can swim and play tennis. He can run fast, too. 

Then this is my elder sister Alice. We are twins. Alice and I are in the same class. Of course, we are the best friends. We often share our (happy) and sadness together.  We often support each other. We enjoy (do) the same thing. We have fun  (play) together. 

I always have a good time with them at school. 

At my new school, Li Hua is my friend，he is helpful and p. He is also good at maths. When I have problems in study，he always gives me help and teach me patiently. In life, we s our happiness and sadness together, we like doing the same things together, T to his help, my maths has improved a lot. I am also more confident and I have the c to try new things. I have become more open and am willing to help than before. Indeed, Close friends are really h. This makes me understand that friends should c on each other for love, admiration, r and support.
