With the development of science and technology, AI robots are entering more families. Last month, my family bought a smart robot named "TechHelper". It  (design) to make our daily life easier. Every morning, it wakes me up by playing soft music and even prepares a healthy breakfast based on our (prefer).

My parents often say that TechHelper is not just a machine, but a part of our family. It teaches me that technology can bring people closer. I believe that in the future, more  (advance) AI robots will be invented to help people live  better life.

Artificial intelligence (AI) is changing how we manage water. AI helps us use water smartly and keeps it safe.

In water management, AI helps us guess how much water people will need. For example, if a city is facing a hot summer, AI can guess that people will use more water for their gardens and pools. AI can make good guess about future water needs by looking at past information, such as weather changes and how much water people used before. This helps water workers plan better and use water carefully.

AI also helps find leaks in water pipes. Take a small hole in a pipe under the street for example. AI can find it with special tools to stop the water running out. Fixing leaks quickly is important because it saves water and money. For example, Shanghai uses AI to find leaks and saves a lot of water every year.

AI is helpful in another way by checking water quality. AI can test water samples (样品) to see if the water is clean or harmful. This helps make sure that drinking water is safe for everyone. A town can use AI to check its drinking water every day to make sure it is clean.

However, there are some problems with using AI in water management. It can be costly to set up, and workers need training to use these systems. It is also very important to keep water data safe from bad people.

As AI gets better, it can help us manage water more effectively. With good planning, AI can make water use smarter and safer for the future.

If your parents have ever been too lazy or the weather has been too bad to put gas (汽油) in the family car, this might be the invention for them. A Danish company (公司) has developed a robot arm that can help cars at gas stations without human's help. 

The company allows people at a gas station in Finland to get their car filled up by a robot.  It's the only place that offers this service. But the company says it hopes their technology will be available (可获得的) in other countries in the future. 

The company says there is a special set of sensors (传感器) and cameras to get information about a car. So the robot arm is able to know what kind of gas it needs. When the car stops in a certain area, the robot arm itself starts to move. The arm then opens the car's fuel tank (油箱) door, chooses the right gas and fills up the car. The company has been testing their technology for over a year and plans to start more testing later this year. 

The company created its smart gas station in 2018. The idea was to cut down the risk of people staying at gas stations. Since then, they've made robot arm do more things. "Our purpose (目的) is to provide people with comfort and safety. Our robot arm allows a driver to go to the shop for a coffee or take a short break while it is working," the company's CEO said.

Different weather makes people feel different. It influences health, intelligence (智力) and feelings.

In August, it is very hot and wet in the southern part of the United States. People there have heart trouble and other kinds of health problems during this month. In the Northeast and the Middle West, it is very hot at some times and very cold at other times. People in these states have more heart trouble after the weather changes in February or March.

The weather can also influence intelligence. For example, in a scientific report, IQ (智商) of a group of students was very high when a very strong wind came, but after the strong wind, their IQ was 10% below. The wind can help people have more intelligence. Very hot weather, on the other hand (另一方面), can make it lower. Students in many schools of the United States often get worse on exams in the hot months of the year (July and August).

Weather also has a strong influence on people's feelings. Winter may be a bad time for thin people. They usually feel cold during these months. They might feel unhappy during cold weather. But fat people may have a hard time in hot summer. At about 18℃, people become stronger.

Low air pressure (气压) may make people forgetful. People leave more bags on buses and in shops on low-pressure days. There is "good weather" for health. People feel best at a temperature of about 18℃.

Great changes have taken place in towns that we have lived in for centuries, while completely new cities are being built. One such place is the city of Songdo. Every home there will have a "telepresence system" (远程呈现系统)—allowing users to control the heating and locks, take part in video meetings, and receive education, healthcare and government services. Around the city, escalators (自动扶梯) will only move when someone is on them, and offices and schools will all be connected to the system.

The great mind behind Songdo is from the company Cisco. In fact, technology companies around the world such as IBM, Siemens and Microsoft are already in the business.

About 75% of the world's population will live in cities by 2050, so cities will need to be more modern to deal with the coming problems. "Making cities smarter is one way out, and I think this will in turn make cities greener," said Dan Hill, head of a research company.
