Most of you may think of clams (河蚌) as part of a big meal. But these little things can do a more important job: testing (检测) the cleanness of people's drinking water!

The main water station in Poland (波兰), gives water for millions of people there. They make eight clams test the drinking water. Because clams have an amazing sense of finding water pollution. If the water is not clean enough, they close their shells (壳). So, the water station got the clams and connected their shells to a computer system. When four or more clams close their shells at the same time, an alarm (警报) will make a sound.

Clams will get used to (习惯) dirty water in several months, so they only work for three months. People will get new clams to take over the job. The water station said this could work well to test water quality (质量).

There's a film on this story, called Fat Kathy. The film shows how wildlife helps people around the world, said Bored Panda, a leading art and pop culture magazine.

Orange trees grow in warm and sunny places. You can often find them near rivers because they need lots of water to grow. Some orange trees can grow to about 30 feet (英尺) high! In the spring, the trees have white flowers. Later, these flowers change into oranges. An orange tree can grow about 1,200 oranges in a year! When the oranges are big enough, farmers pick them by hand. Sometimes they use machines (机器) to pick oranges. Then they send the oranges to a juicing plant.

What happens to the oranges at the juicing plant? First, workers squeeze the oranges, and get the juice. They put the juice into bottles. Then they move the bottles onto big trucks. Finally, the orange juice is ready to go to stores. People can buy and enjoy the tasty juice!

Welcome to Phillip Island Nature Parks and the Penguin Parade. You will see  (small) penguins in the world appearing from the ocean and crossing the beach to their home in line. It's  amazing and natural experience. Remember that the little penguins are wild. You are a visitor to  (they) home. 

Here are some  (help) tips to make the most of your visit. ◆It's better to wear warm clothes   the parade is in the open air on the beach. 

◆It is best  (get) down to the beach at least 15 minutes before the parade begins.

Graceland

Graceland is in Tennessee. Singer and actor Elvis Presley once owned it. His daughter has  (控制) it  (自从) his death. It is located in the Whitehaven Community. It opened to the  (公众) as a museum on June 7th, 1982. Since then, great changes have taken place in Graceland. So far, over 750, 000 visitors have visited the Meditation Garden where Elvis Presley was interred(埋葬), 

The Museum of PopCulture(MoPop)

MoPop is one of the must see places if you go to Seattle. The (整个的) building is 140, 000 feet high. MoPop is meant to convey(传达) all the  (能量) and beauty of music. Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen  (创立) it in 2000 as the ExperienceMusic Project. Since then, MoPop has held lots of music  (展览会). Seventeen of them have toured across the US and around the world.
