Move More. Make it a daily habit to find ways to move your body.  Climb stairs instead of taking the elevator (电梯); walk your dog; play with your kids. It doesn't have to be an hour in the gym or a 45-minute dance class. But that's great when you're up to it. At the same time, move more.

Give up Smoking. Ever since 1960 when it was announced that smoking was harmful to health, Americans have been reducing their use of tobacco products. Just recently, we've seen more and more teens smoking. Could it be the Hollywood influence (影响)?  Take care! Warn your children against smoking.

 While recent studies show a glass of wine or one drink a day can help protect against heart disease, more than that can cause other health problems such as liver and kidney (肝和肾) disease and cancer.

Reduce Stress. Easier said than done. Stress comes in many ways.  Spend 30 minutes a day doing something you like such as walking on the beach or in a park, reading a good book, visiting a friend, listening to relaxing music, and watching a funny movie. 

Protect Yourself from Pollution. If you can't live in a smog-free environment, at least avoid smoke-filled rooms.  Exercise indoors in air conditioning when air quality is not good.

Since the beginning of human history, people have been amazed by the night sky. Ancient statues(塑像), like those from the Shu Kingdom found at Sanxingdui, were believed to have the power to see the stars. However, with the naked eye, humans can only see a small part of the night sky. For a long time, people didn't understand what they saw and used their imaginations to create a world in the sky.

The first telescope changed our ability to understand space greatly. It let us see that the universe is much larger than we had imagined. We discovered that planets are like our own world and some even have moons. Later, we learned that the Sun is just one star among billions in our galaxy, the Milky Way. And 300 years after the first telescope, we found out that the Milky Way is just one of billions of galaxies in space.

In 1990, the Hubble Space Telescope was launched (发射). It gave us the first beautiful images of our universe from space. We could see things like gas clouds where stars are born, black holes, and even new planets where life might exist. The Hubble Telescope also helped us understand the age and nature of the universe, and that it is expanding (扩大) faster and faster.

Today, countries like China are leading in telescope technology. The FAST telescope, completed in 2016, is the world's largest radio telescope. Its 500-metre dish, known as the "Eye of Heaven", searches for dark matter and explores the far reaches of space.

With each advancement in telescope technology, we edge closer to unlocking the secrets of the universe. But the journey has only just begun, and there is still so much more to learn.

The world's oldest known musical instruments are more than 40,000 years old. For tens of thousands of years, humans have been making music for pleasure and to express themselves. Recently, there has been a rise in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create music. Some AI music has become so popular that it's gone viral (走红) online. The technique has been used by lots of musicians. For example, Paul McCartney from the famous 1960s band The Beatles, used it. He took an old song created by Beatles member John Lennon, who died in 1980, and with the help of AI, McCartney created a "final Beatles record".

However, there is a debate about whether AI is bad for creativity. Some people think that using AI to create music isn't original or creative because it just makes songs out of old music. They believe that when musicians create songs, they put in genuine emotions and real experiences, which creates a deeper connection with the audience. And if companies rely too much on AI to produce music, it might put musicians out of work.

On the other hand, some people think that AI can help spark new ideas. Music makers already use computers to perfect sound and mix songs. AI is just another tool. It can save time and might lead to new and exciting music styles that humans might not have thought of before.

I am a Russian girl, and it has always been my small dream to climb to the top of a mountain to enjoy the sunrise since my childhood. However, there are no big mountains in my hometown, which makes me very sad.

After coming to China, I heard that there was Mount Huashan. I decided to climb it to meet the beautiful dawn (黎明) at the top of the peak. On arriving at the foot of the mountain, I began climbing immediately with great eagerness and determination.

During the process, a sudden rain made the stone floor wet and slippery. I had the idea of giving up, but the crowd encouraged me to continue the trip. As the steps became narrower, everyone lined up, caught the chains and slowly moved forward. When I got close to the top of the mountain, I had nearly run out of strength, so I found a place to rest for a while. Then I heard a voice saying, "Relax, and don't be afraid. As long as you climb up, you are the best!" Hearing that, I realized if I was frightened by the difficulty just now, I could not be the best. So, I gathered all the courage and finally made it!

At the moment of success, the rolling sea of clouds and the amazing scenery on the mountain changed obviously. I truly understood that life is like climbing up a mountain. Only with all the way of sweat (汗水) and the confidence can you reach the top to enjoy a brighter life.

Chinese calligraphy is an important part of traditional Chinese culture. Calligraphy started in China and spread to other parts of Asia with Chinese culture. It has a history of 4,000 to 5,000 years. Calligraphy is the art of writing Chinese characters(汉字) and rules of writing with a brush. When you practice calligraphy, it is important to pay attention to the changes of the strokes(笔画) and the spaces between characters. 

There are many famous calligraphers in history, such as Wang Xizhi and Yan Zhenqing. Different calligraphy works can show different calligraphers' feelings and personalities. Today, they can be seen on the walls of offices, shops, hotels and many other places. 

"If I live in China, I will become a calligrapher rather than a painter for sure," the world-famous master of art, Picasso said. He fell in love with Chinese calligraphy as soon as he saw Zhang Daqian's works. 

The tool for practicing calligraphy is calligraphy brushes. They are usually made from the hair of different animals. Practicing calligraphy takes a lot of time and many people take lessons to learn it. During the lessons, they can learn how to write different strokes of Chinese characters. If you're interested in it, you may start practicing with a teacher right away. 

Calligraphy, an amazing traditional art form, shows the love that all Chinese people have for culture and beauty. Chinese people of all ages practice calligraphy often, not to be a calligrapher, but to enjoy the peaceful mind.

Over the past twenty years, China has become stronger and stronger. Many foreigners want to do business with Chinese people now. Learning our language helps them a lot. The Confucius Institute provides a place  them to learn Chinese language and culture. 

As the world is crazy about China, more and more foreigners are  in our language and culture. To meet their needs, the first Confucius Institute was  up in South Korea in 2004. Now the Confucius Institute is all around the world. There are  than 1,000 classrooms in 140 countries and areas, with over 2 million students. People all over the world want to study Chinese.  it's not easy to study the language. The foreigners who like Chinese practise it so hard. They learn  to pronounce and write, even use chopsticks. 

A big competition is held for foreigners. By taking part in  competition they can show themselves. When we watch the show, we are amazed at their Chinese and admire very much. Some foreigners not only speak Chinese well, but also a lot about Chinese culture. 

The Confucius Institute does a good  in spreading Chinese language and culture to the world. Today, the world is learning Chinese.
