Education authorities (政府部门) want schools to give students a 10-minute break between classes because they hear that many students can't leave their classrooms during break. One teacher says that 70% of her students stay in the classroom during break. Some teachers keep teaching after class, and some start the next class minutes early, so students can't go to the bathroom.

Many people are talking about this on the Internet. These days, they watch a video about students not having time to go to the bathroom. Education authorities say that schools must give students a break between classes. This is important for them to keep healthy. They also say that schools can't restrict (限制) break time. They want students to have a 30-minute break each day for exercise. A study shows that 75% of parents think their children's break is too quiet. 50% of parents say that their children can't talk loudly during break, and 30% of them say that their children can't leave the classroom building or speak loudly even outside. Some schools restrict activities during break because of past accidents (过去的事故), such as students getting hurt (受伤), getting lost (失踪), and fighting with each other. But the head teacher of a school thinks that break time is important to students and that students should have a break between classes.

Do you know what dish is the most popular in the cold winter in China? Hot pot is many Chinese people's favourite.

No matter in the north or in the south, people all like hot pot very much and every place has its local specials. For example, people in Sichuan like hot dishes in it. However, Guangdong hot pot is famous for its freshness (新鲜). Usually, there is a metal hot pot in the middle of the table. When the soup in the pot is kept simmering (慢煮), dishes are put into the pot. Beef, mutton, fish and vegetables are the main dishes. It is very popular in winter because it can keep the dishes warm all the time. During the Spring Festival, friends and family members have a special meal—hot pot. Also, they chat (聊天) happily. It is a good way to relax.

There is also hotpot in England, but what are the differences? Hotpot is NOT hot pot. China has hot pot in two words but English hotpot is written in one word. The main dishes of English hotpot are simple. They are meat, potatoes and onions. People put them in the oven (烤箱) all day in a heavy pot on a low heat. It is easy to cook.

Chinese hot pot tastes delicious, and English hotpot tastes fine. Which do you like, hot pot or hotpot?

Noodles are important food in China. People eat noodles every day. So noodles are the real (真正的) Chinese food and they are a  of Chinese people's life. There are many different  of noodles. Many people like  noodles at home. But some people buy noodles in the shop  they have no time to make them. People can cook noodles  something they like. Children like noodles with  and tomatoes. Young people like noodles with meat and vegetables. Some people like to eat noodles with vinegar (醋). 

When people are on birthday,  family cook noodles with eggs as birthday food. They think people can have good  and live a long life after eating it. Sometimes people  noodles in the Spring Festival. When you  to China, welcome to eat the real Chinese food—noodles.

It was a winter morning in Beijing, and it was very cold that day. I was on my way to work and wanted to cat something to warm me up.

Then I saw an old woman selling youtiao and doujiang (soybean milk). Youtiao smelled good. I was also surprised at how cheap it was.

As soon as I tried youtiao,  ▲     . It was delicious, salty and sweet. After that I ate youtiao every day on my way to work in the morning.

Foreigners like youtiao probably because it's similar to some other foods that are popular in foreign countries. In the US, there is a type of food called cruller (油饼). It's a sort of doughnut (甜甜圈) with a long and thin shape like youtiao. Spanish food churro (西班牙油条) is also like youtiao. People in Malaysia and Vietnam also like to eat youtiao and they eat it with milk tea or noodles. In Indonesia, they eat it with porridge.

Youtino can be even better if you add some other things to it. Chocolate or sugar can give it a new flavour. I like to cat it with coffee or tea as well. It is one of my favourite Chinese snacks.
