A workcation helps people, too. When people are not in the office, their minds are clear. Then it's easier for them to have new ideas, so they'll do a better job. When people work and have fun at the same time, they hardly get bored.

 Some people worry a workcation will turn into a real vacation. The work takes time. For them, they are under pressure when having fun.

 If they spend more time working, such a vacation isn't relaxing for them. They aren't happy about it.

Do you like doing homework while listening to music? Or will you fold clothes when watching a show? Everyone may experience these situations in daily life and this doing-it-all-at-once thing is known as multitasking.

Multitasking means doing more than one activity at a time. In daily life, many of us multitask without even realizing it. But does multitasking really do good to our lives? 

You may think multitasking saves your time, but the truth is that only 2.5% of people can multitask well. Studies have found that most people who multitask will spend more time and make more mistakes. That's because when we multitask, we are overusing (过度使用) the part of our brain that controls thinking and planning. It is hard on our brains. Our brains will get tired, and since we're not successfully finishing any one task, we can feel upset and stressed. Instead, if we only deal with one task at a time, we will do a better and more correct job. 

However, others may disagree. They think people multitask not only because they want to save time but also because they enjoy it. Some scientists find that multitasking makes people feel more active and have a better sense of participation (参与感). These good feelings will improve their performance and offer a feeling of satisfaction. Also, multitasking is a modern way of life and an important skill you should learn as you grow up. After all, who doesn't want to complete more in less time? Instead of stopping multitasking, it's better to learn how to deal with so many tasks well.

Imagine waking up in the hospital after losing a mixed martial arts (综合格斗, MMA) match, and surprisingly finding out it was a doctor who made you unable to pick yourself up! This could happen to anyone who steps into the ring (竞技场) to fight against 30-year-old Shi Ming. 

Shi, a full-time traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) doctor, surprised everyone at the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in Macao on November 23. In her day job, the friendly "Doctor Shi" spends her time shaking off people's tiredness as an acupuncturist (针灸医生) at a hospital in Kunming, Yunnan. After her six-hour work at the hospital, she secretly trained at a gym— even her family and close friends didn't know about her MMA practice. But now, everyone knows, as videos of Shi's powerful high kick and her "doctor by day, fighter by night" background have made her popular both in China and the US. 

Shi began taekwondo (跆拳道) training at 13 in Kunming, drawn by its cool uniform and head kicks. She first tried her hand at MMA training in college and has since fallen in love with the sport. "She looks as normal as any cute and quiet little girl in life, but when she steps into the ring, she becomes the bravest fighter we know," said Zhu Jinqiu, her coach (教练) and the owner of the club where Shi trains. 

Now, Shi plans to work harder on getting an MMA world championship. She will put her medical job on hold. "It's time to take a break from my job and turn from a competitor into a champion, like China's MMA star Zhang Weili, " Shi said.

When I was eight, I got a book about stars from my dad as a birthday present. That was the beginning of my lifetime interest.

I used to go outside with my mum on clear nights and look at 1 . It looked like black velvet with a million diamonds on it. In different 2 , we saw different groups of stars. In 3 , the "belt" of Orion appeared in the night sky. In summer, we saw Vega shine 4 as it got dark. Sometimes we saw stars shooting across the sky. How beautiful they were! Every time I 5 , I was amazed.

Studying the stars was great 6 for me, and I was extremely curious about the night sky. Once I learnt a little, I soon wanted to find out more and more. I asked all kinds of questions, and my parents were always very 7 with me. If they didn't know the answer, they would encourage me to find the answers in the library. So I read a lot about the topic, and my 8 increased as I grew older.

Now, studying the stars is my career. I host a TV programme named The Sky at Night. I use my 9 to take people on a journey across the Milky Way and beyond, and I teach my audience about the different stars in a lively way. My TV programme has lasted 10 than 50 years, and I am really proud of that.

Actually, you too can turn your interests into your career. Anybody can achieve their dreams. You just have to enjoy what you do.
