It's interesting that weather not only affects individuals but also society. For example, on sunny days, there are more traffic accidents because more people go out. On rainy days, people may stay at home, so the number of customers in shops decreases.

7:22 a.m.: We're at Mount Huangshan! The clouds look amazing. It feels like a magical place. The trees and rocks look like a part of a painting. 

9:18 a.m.: We're at a rest area now. Climbing is hard, but we're making good progress. Although the weather is bad, many people here are still in high spirits. I'm encouraging my brother Peter. 

10:36 a.m.: The sun is shining through the clouds! It's a lovely sight. I'm so glad we're here at Bright Peak.

6:35 a.m.: Today I'm visiting Mount Huangshan with my family. I'm not really enjoying the experience. Everything looks grey, and you can't see much because of the heavy fog. 

9:15 a.m.: Climbing is tiring! My shoes are all wet and dirty. There are many other tourists, but they don't seem tired at all. My sister Helen is in high spirits. 

10:40 a.m.: We're at Bright Peak. Mount Huangshan is beautiful in the sunlight. I'm tired and hungry, but it feels good to be at the top!

The name "Qomolangma" means "Mother of the Earth". It stands on the border (边境)between Nepal(尼泊尔） and China.

Qomolangma is part of the Himalayan Mountains.It is 8,848.86 metres tall,reaching into the sky as high as airplanes fly.

The weather there is always very cold and windy.There is snow everywhere.The wind blows all year long.In winter, the lowest temperature can reach -60 C.

There is very little oxygen (氧气) on the mountain. Not many animals can live there, although you can see some yaks(毛牛).Yaks have long hair to keep them warm. They are very strong and able to walk on narrow paths. People call yaks "the ships of the highland".

Taihu Lake is a famous place of . If visitors look at Taihu Lake, they will see clean water. Boats run under the white  and the blue sky.

However, 15 years ago, the lake  quite different. The lake is a  of the Yangtze River. Many people get water from it now, but the water was not so clean before. Our country did many things to clean the water of the .

The workers lots of algae（藻） out of the lake.The water of Taihu Lake is muchhan before. After more than ten  hard work, our country took a scientific（科学的） way to treat the algae. Now few algae grow in the lake. There 23 kinds of water birds and more than 50 kinds of plants in Taihu Lake.

Our country will try other ways to  the lake and make the pollution less. Taihu Lake will be greater in the future.
