After that, they go to a clothes store. Tom's mother buys a beautiful dress for herself. When they finish shopping, they are very tired but happy. 

National Day

National Day in China is on October 1st. It is a very important festival. People have a seven - day holiday. 

During the National Day holiday, many people go out to visit famous places. Some people go to Beijing to see the Great Wall and the Forbidden City. Some people go to Shanghai to visit the Bund and the Oriental Pearl Tower. 

There are also many celebrations in different cities. People hang national flags everywhere. There are parades and shows. People sing and dance together. Everyone is very happy and proud of our great country. 

Shopping for a Party

Next Saturday is my best friend Amy's birthday. I want to buy some things for her birthday party. 

First, I go to the supermarket. I see a lot of things there. I buy a big birthday cake. It's on sale for only 50 yuan. Then I buy some balloons. They are very beautiful and colorful. I also buy some chocolate and juice. I know Amy likes chocolate very much. 

After that, I go to a gift shop. I choose a lovely toy bear for Amy. I think she will like it. When I pay for all the things, it costs me 120 yuan. I'm sure Amy will have a great birthday party with these things. 

My Birthday Party

My birthday is on July 15th. Every year, I have a birthday party at home. This year, my parents prepared a big party for me. 

In the morning, my mother bought a beautiful birthday cake. It was covered with colorful fruits. My father decorated our house with balloons and colorful lights. When my friends came, they brought me many lovely gifts. We sang the "Happy Birthday" song together. Then I made a wish and blew out the candles on the cake. After that, we ate the delicious cake and shared the fruits. 

We also played games at the party. We played "Hide - and - Seek" and "Musical Chairs". Everyone had a great time. I was very happy because I spent a wonderful day with my family and friends.
