②The alarm (警报) call is one way. When an enemy is near, animals send out a warning sound. Others hear it and run to a safe place, or get together to fight the enemy. Whales are famous for their ability to communicate from far away with special sounds. In their own social groups, whales understand what they're saying to each other.

③Smell is another popular way for animals to communicate. Some animals, such as the amoeba (变形虫) send out a smell to tell other amoebas it's going to have babies. Skunks send out an odour when they feel they are in danger.

④Many animals use body language to communicate. Chimpanzees (黑猩猩) touch hands when they meet. A happy dog moves its tail from side to side. Even people understand this form of a dog's body language.

According to the scientists, one difference is that in many places it's going to be much hotter and it's going to rain less. Some countries in Africa are going to become very dry all year round, and people can hardly find food and water. In Southern Europe and the United States, it's going to be less easy for plants to grow. People there are also going to have problems finding food in the future.

No one knows how much warmer it is going to be, but scientists say that the change is going to be at least 2℃. They say that the ice in the Arctic (北极) is going to melt in the next years and a lot of the animals there are going to die. There is also going to be more water in the sea, so cities near the sea are going to disappear.   

Another difference is that there are going to be more hurricanes and typhoons (飓风和台风). Scientists say they are going to happen all over the world, and many people are going to lose their homes.     

The earth is our home. Everyone should play a part in saving the earth.

Nowadays, some students don't help their parents do housework at home. Some parents love their children too much, so they don't let them work at home. In the past, their parents thought they were too young to know how to do the housework. Now they think that kids these days already have enough stress from school and they only want them to do well in their lessons.

However, I think students should help their parents do housework at home. First, to do some housework can keep them healthy and strong. Some hard housework can be regarded as (被认为是) a kind of physical exercise. Next, it can help them understand their parents better. Sharing housework can make the children have a good relationship (关系) with their parents. The last and the most important, it can help them cultivate (培养) their ability to live. After all, they will leave home when they grow up.

Schools in China are studying how they can put VR (= virtual reality 虚拟现实) lessons into their classroom experience. One such lesson uses VR to teach children fire safety. Instead of pens and paper, students wear VR headsets in the classroom. They are put into a virtual environment where a fire has broken out. They must find their way out and escape carefully. 

At the VR medical school under Sichuan University, a virtual system allows medical students to examine the human body in different ways. They can even separate organs for closer examination. Students can practice their operation skills without a real body. 

Simon Leung, vice-chairman of a VR company, said the company has developed VR classrooms and computers that send students to a 360-degree digital world. Moreover, the VR headsets can tell whether children focus on the task at hand, Leung said. 

Chinese parents, however, have a different opinion on VR lessons. They are suspicious of VR because they are unsure if the technology will have any bad effects. They are worried about their children's eye sight, too. 

Besides, VR equipment comes at a price. A top VR headset and computer could cost up to 10,000 yuan. "We need to do more to lower the cost and improve the users' experience," said Huang Ronghuai, a professor at the Smart Learning Institute under Beijing Normal University. "But we are sure that we will change the model of education in the future. " 

If I had a cold, I wouldn't think twice about telling my friends or my doctor. For some reason, however, if I had a mental problem, I might not treat it in the same way. 

At my elementary school, mental health was not discussed even once as far as I can remember. This makes me wonder how many other schools are failing to educate their students on this topic. It makes me sad that children growing up with mental illness may feel like it is something to be ashamed of because it is never discussed. When I reached high school, mental health was still seldom discussed. But when it was a topic in health or biology class, I was given a broad idea that mental illness is a "thing" that really exists. 

In my opinion, overstressed high school students could benefit greatly from more deep discussions about how to deal with mental health problems, such as how to know when you should car e about yourself or a friend, or who to reach for help. I know my friends and I could have benefited. Even if you personally have never faced mental health problems, someone you know is sure to have them, and you can offer timely help. 

I also believe we need to normalize discussions about mental health at an early age, rather than hide them from sight. At school, I saw a student's report on mental health education and how it can be carried out in the American school system. The student used the film Inside Out to explain feelings to younger kids. This report made me believe that it is possible to start these discussions at a young age if we try. 

Although we can't change the way people think about mental health over one night, there are still things we can do. Asking our friends how they're feeling is a good start.
