Luck has been with me for five years. We are like brothers. As you already know, there are a lot of forest fires during the summer season. Many forests are badly burnt by fire each year. 

This hot summer, not far from our house, a forest caught fire. It was in July and a heat wave had been going on for three days. Luck rushed towards the forest because of the burning heat. There was no longer any hope at that moment to wait for Luck to come back. Suddenly, a fireman ran into my house and told me that my dog Luck succeeded in saving four cats that were caught in the fire. According to the fireman, Luck caught the cats, moving them one by one into a safe place. 

I ran out of the house and went with the firemen to the forest to pick up the saved cats. When we arrived, Luck was not there. Then we heard the sound of a dog coming from the forest barking (犬吠). I knew it was the sound of my dog Luck. The firemen followed the tracks (踪迹) of the dog until they found him barking loudly by the side of a hurt fireman who was hopelessly lying on the ground and waiting for someone to save him. 

Thanks to Luck, four cats and a fireman were saved. That day, I was very proud of Luck for his two heroic actions. 

Later I paid a visit to the fireman in his house with my lovely Luck. It was such a memorable scene when the fireman held Luck close to his chest! "One thousand thanks, Luck, for saving my life, " the fireman said. 

We students need homework to find our weaknesses and get improved. But do you really find proper ways to finish your homework more efficiently? 

Write down things you need to finish.Use a notebook to make a list and just finish your tasks. As you complete each task, cross it off on your list. 

You can improve your attention by creating the best environment for homework. Find a comfortable chair and table to work at. At the same time, put phones and other things that may distract (使分心) you away. 

Make a homework timetable.If you set a schedule, then you'll be prepared and know exactly what to do. This will keep you from feeling sorry about putting homework off. 

Form a learning group.Doing homework can be more fun if you do it in a group. A learning group can also be helpful if you face a very hard subject, because knowledgeable friends may be able to help you solve the challenging problem. 

Ask for feedback (反馈).To be really successful at homework, you need to know how to improve it. Even if your teachers are satisfied with what you've handed in, ask them how you could do better. . 

Months ago, a student from Chongqing shared delicious tanghulu in the UK, and she caught many people's eyes. The student wore beautiful hanfu and gave her homemade (自制的) tanghulu to people on the streets of Edinburgh. She showed them all the different tastes of tanghulu and the way to make it. Everyone was happy and excited about it. 

A British girl got excited when she saw the candied haws (山楂) and said "tanghulu" with a big voice. The student happily gave the snack (小吃) to the girl. The girl was glad to eat it. She said she had seen it in Chinese TV shows. Another child with a nickname (绰号) "Tanghulu" never went to China, but at that time, he saw tanghulu surprisingly, because he learned where his nickname came from and enjoyed the taste of the traditional Chinese snack. 

Tanghulu is a famous snack from the north of China. Bright red haws line up on a stick. Their candy coating (糖衣) is glimmering in the light like glass balls. Haws are sour, but they taste amazing with the candy coating. Because tanghulu looks pretty and tastes great, it is becoming more and more popular in the world. 

It's true that more and more Chinese special food and snacks are loved by the world now.

Kat woke up feeling upset on the morning of School Picture Day, though it was usually a day that she loved. She thought it was cool to wear something besides the boring school uniform. Today, however, Kat felt disappointed as she looked at the dress that her mother had prepared for her. 

Kat put on the dress and looked at herself in the mirror. "I don't want to wear this dress，" Kat said to herself. Suddenly, she had an idea. She went to her brother Charles's room, slowly pushing the door open and looking inside to make sure he wasn't there. "Hmm, we're about the same size. " Kat said quietly as she opened Charles's closet (衣橱).

"Why？" her mother asked, feeling confused. "I picked out such a nice dress for you. You don't like it? We can pick out a different one. "

"I don't want to wear a dress, Mom，" Kat said. 

"I think you look great in my suit！" Charles said. Kat smiled thankfully at him. 

"You know, maybe Charles is right，" said Kat's mother. "And would you like to wear a tie？" Kat smiled and nodded. 

Kat walked into the classroom that day happily. However, she soon noticed a few kids pointing and staring at her. "Maybe I made a mistake，" Kat thought. 

When her friends Anna and Tyrone came over, Kat held her breath. "Wow，" Anna said excitedly, "I love your suit. "

"Your tie is really cool, too，" added Tyrone. 

Kat felt a sense of relief and said, "Thanks！"

Soon, it was Kat's turn to take a photo. She sat on the chair, adjusted (整理) her suit and tie, and showed her brightest smile at the camera. 

My mom and I flew to Whitehorse to care for my old sick grandfather. We1 to spend two months in the town of my youth.
