How to study for a test without stress
Everyone faces exams from time to time. Some students feel nervous and study too late. Here are some tips you can use to stay calm and study well.
If you know what you need to do each day, you won't feel lost. Write down your tasks and start with the hardest one. You can also set a simple time limit, like "20 minutes for English words." When you finish a small goal, you will feel more confident.
Take short breaks. Studying for a long time without stopping can make you tired. During the break, stand up, drink some water, or stretch your neck. After a short break, your brain works better and you can remember more.
Practice, don't just read. Reading notes again and again may feel safe, but it doesn't always help. Practice helps you find what you really don't understand, so you can fix it early. For example, you can do a few questions, explain an idea in your own words, or test yourself with flashcards.
Ask for help. Sometimes you don't understand a point, and you may feel stuck. Don't wait until the night before the test, because stress will grow quickly. You can ask a teacher, talk with a classmate, or watch a short lesson video. Solving problems early can reduce stress a lot.
In the end, you don't need to be perfect. Just follow these steps little by little. With a plan, breaks, practice, and help, you can feel calmer and do your best on the test.
A. Start with a clear study plan.
B. Ask someone to explain it to you.
C. Study late at night to remember more.
D. Take a 5-minute break every 30 minutes.
E. Try testing yourself instead of only reading.
Which of the above tips will you follow to study better? Why? (不超过 15 词)

①One afternoon, Leo wanted to buy a new card game, but he found that his pocket money was almost gone. Instead of feeling upset, he asked AI for help. To his surprise, AI showed him fun and simple ways to enjoy life and save money at the same time. From that day on, Leo learned that saving money does not have to be boring—it can be smart and enjoyable with the help of AI.
②One important advantage of AI is that it helps kids and families plan their spending more clearly. AI can show where money is usually spent and help people decide what is really necessary. By seeing their spending habits, kids can learn to use money more carefully in daily life.
③AI can also help plan meals on a budget. Food in shops can be expensive, but AI can suggest dishes based on the food people already have at home. If someone wants a low-cost dinner, AI may advise making homemade noodles with vegetables. This not only saves money but also makes cooking more enjoyable and helps reduce food waste.
④When it comes to shopping, AI helps people make wiser choices. Comparing prices in different shops or online often takes a lot of time, but AI can do this quickly. For instance, if a family needs a new schoolbag, AI can compare prices and recommend one that is good but not expensive, saving both time and money.
⑤In addition, AI can teach kids how to manage their pocket money. It can help record spending on snacks or toys and give simple advice on saving. If a child gets $10 as pocket money, AI may suggest saving $3, spending $5, and keeping $2 for unexpected needs.
⑥In short, AI can help families save money in several practical ways, from planning spending to making smarter choices. More importantly, it helps kids develop good habits and learn to think before they spend. With the help of AI, saving money becomes not only easier, but also an important life skill for the future.

Can you tell when you have been indoors for too long? Whether you like sports or prefer quiet activities, spending some time outdoors is a habit we all can learn.
Being outdoors is more than just "going outside." It means giving your mind and body a break from screens, noise, and closed spaces. You might walk to a park, sit under a tree, or simply open your window and breathe fresh air. Sometimes you don't need a big plan—ten minutes outside can already feel different. You may notice small details, like the wind on your face or the sound of birds, and those details can help you slow down. People enjoy outdoor time in different ways: some like running or cycling, while others just watch clouds or take photos. The key is that you step away from your usual indoor routine and notice the world around you.
Outdoor time can also be good for your health. It often helps people feel calmer and less stressed, because a change of space can slow down racing thoughts. It isn't just relaxing; more importantly, it can improve focus and mood. Studies show that spending time in nature is linked to better mood, sleep, and attention. Fresh air and gentle exercise outside may also make it easier to rest well later. Harvard Health also notes that being outdoors can lower stress and help you think more clearly. The American Psychological Association suggests that natural settings can calm the body's stress response. When you rest well and feel less pressure, your body may stay stronger over time, and you may get sick less often.
Making time to go outside isn't always easy, because homework and phones can take up your day. Try walking after dinner, taking a short break between tasks, or meeting a friend outside instead of staying indoors. Small actions like these remind you that life is bigger than one room—and they can help you feel more balanced.
(1)、What does Paragraph 2 mainly explain?A、What being outdoors means. B、How to plan outdoor trips. C、Why people like outdoor time. D、When to stop using phones.(2)、According to Paragraph 3, how can outdoor time help you sleep better?A、By eating healthy food outdoors. B、By getting daylight and light movement. C、By doing hard exercise every day. D、By avoiding using your phone at night.(3)、What can we infer from the last paragraph?A、Outdoor time should always be done alone. B、Walking after dinner is the only good choice. C、Being busy is the main reason people stop studying. D、Small outdoor actions can be easier than people think.(4)、What is the main purpose of the text?A、To explain outdoor time and give easy ways to try it. B、To describe a park visit and share the writer's feelings. C、To introduce outdoor sports and give rules for doing them. D、To compare indoor life and outdoor life and choose one best. -

My family had a long-running cycle of growing up poor. Both my mom and dad came from large families with little more than the clothes on their backs. Their parents had also grown up with very little.
When I was five, I showed an interest in machinery. By Grade 3, I was learning to program using the BASIC language. Then, one day in high school, my computer science teacher suggested that I attend a computer camp. He gave me a brochure (小册子), and I excitedly took it home. That excitement quickly disappeared when my mom saw the price of the camp: several hundred dollars. That evening, I went into my room and cried my eyes out.
But a few weeks later, I got a phone call. It was the head of the computer camp telling me I had been admitted. I could hardly believe my ears. At that camp, I met many like-minded kids and learned how to build websites. It lit a fire in me.
Ten years later, I received another call from the camp director. "I've found something I think you'll want to see," he said, suggesting we meet. When we did, he pulled out a long handwritten letter that my mom had sent when I was 15. She wrote that I was a smart kid. She talked a lot about my early love for machinery and computers. She ended by saying she couldn't afford the cost of the computer camp and hoped with all her heart that they would still accept me. I broke down crying at once.
Over the years, I continued to learn as much as I could. In 2014, I finally landed a job where I could use all my skills. Now, I'm proud to say that I've broken my family's cycle of living poorly.
And all I want to do now is to sit down with my mom and thank her for everything she has done for me. Without her, I would never have the bright life I have today.

The world's oldest musical instruments are more than 40,000 years old. For thousands of years, humans have been making music for pleasure and to express themselves.
Recently, there has been a rise in the use of artificial intelligence (AI) to create music. AI makes music by analyzing(分析) many different songs, learning patterns and details, and then mixing pieces together in creative ways. Some AI without mistake such as grow in this way music has become so popular that it has been shared widely online.
However, some people think using AI to create music isn't truly original (原创的) or creative because it makes songs out of old music. What do you think? Is AI bad for creativity?
Yes—AI music isn't creative.
Using AI might be cheaper than paying a musician. If companies can use AI to produce popular music that makes lots of money from people buying and listening to it, it could put musicians out of work. If musicians can't earn money from music, there will be far fewer of them creating new songs. Anyway, listening to music that was made by a computer isn't the same experience as listening to human-made music. When musicians create songs, they put real feelings and experiences into their work, which builds a deep connection with listeners through their music. Music produced by AI isn't truly original, as it simply takes pieces from songs that have already been published. Therefore, it cannot be considered creative.
No—AI can help spark (激发) new ideas.
When people turn on their radio or headphones and a great new song comes on, it makes them feel good. A catchy tune (曲调) brings people together to sing and dance. If people are enjoying music, who cares whether it was made by a human or a machine? Music makers already use computers, which help to perfect sound and mix different parts of a song. Like computers, AI can also help spark ideas. It won't replace (取代) musicians but they can work with it. Building on music created by AI could save time. It could allow lots more music to be produced and it could lead to new and special styles of music. AI could create exciting tunes that humans could never have dreamed of.
Is AI bad for new music?
Background
Humans have a long of creating music for fun and self-expression. But now, some people use AI to create music, which has caused a about creativity.
Agreement
AI music isn't creative.
●AI costs less than hiring a musician,so it could take from real musicians.
●AI music seldom shares real feelings and experiences,so it's for it to connect with listeners than human music does.
●AI music takes pieces from old songs, which may it from being creative.
Disagreement
AI can help spark new ideas.
●Whether the music is created by humans or AI doesn't if people enjoy it.
●AI can be also used as a to spark new ideas.
●AI pushes music human limits and opens up new ideas.
Further thinking
●What English skills can AI help you learn?
●How can it help?

You can volunteer with three or four friends to do a team experiment (实验). First, you need to know a little about the water cycle. The water cycle starts when the sun heats ocean water. The sun converts, or changes, the water into water vapor(蒸气). The sun and wind cause the water vapor to rise into the air. Water vapor cools off in the atmosphere (大气层), or the air that surrounds Earth. Then it changes to drops of water. The drops then cluster, or hold together, forming a cloud.
The water in the cloud falls as rain or snow. It may fall back into the ocean, or it may fall on land. If it falls on land, it finally works its way back to the ocean as a water overflow called runoff. As you begin your experiment, remember this amazing fact. The amount of water on Earth now is the same as it was in the past and will be in the future. About 71% of Earth's surface is water. This includes not only the water in oceans, rivers, and lakes. It also includes the water in clouds, rain, snow, and groundwater and in the icy areas at the North and South Poles.
Now make a model of the water cycle with a partner or small group. Use the instructions below:
●Fill cup about halfway with water.
●Add red food color to the water and stir.
●Use the marker to show water level.
●Put the cup in the bag and seal it.
●Put the bag in a sunny window.
After you finish making the water cycle model, watch carefully what happens to the water in the cup. Check the mark showing the water level. You should see that the water level becomes gradually lower. You should also begin to see small drops of water on the sides and bottom of the bag. The water is evaporating (蒸发) from the heat and then changing from the gas created by evaporating to water drops on the sides of the bag. The drops run down the sides and will begin to collect at the bottom. This is what happens when the sun heats the ocean. Water vapor rises and forms clouds. The drops running down the sides of the bag are like rain falling on Earth.
