A small food store owner found it was difficult to keep records of the product information. In 1948, he contacted (联系) the Drexel Institute of Technology to solve this problem. First, we begin learning our music. We usually start by learning the notes, and then we add the words. Someone comes in to teach us the meaning and pronunciation of the lyrics(歌词) if the words are not in English.

Next, we keep the whole song in mind, even if we only sing part of it. One of the hardest pieces we sang this year was Tjak. It has four parts, each with a different rhythm (节奏).

Once we add dynamics (力度变化) to our songs to give them life, it's time to addchoreography. Jacque Bird, the director, tells us to connect the words we sing to our movements as we breathe and count in our heads.

As we get closer to the concert night, the rehearsals (彩排) get harder. My knees and arms start to hurt. But once we get a break and some food, we come back feeling better. We rehearse on weekends for almost a month beforehand. Every moment is important and worth it.

The real excitement comes during the rehearsal, when we meet our guest artists. This year, YPC invited Mandy Gonzales, Alexandra Socha, and Time for Three to join us. After hearing that we would work with them, we jumped up and down.

Showtime! We sang with musical guests and performed wonderful dances. At the end of the night, we shouted with excitement. For all of us, pulling off the biggest performance of the year felt great.

Have you ever watched the popular anime (动漫) Run with the Wind on Bilibili? It tells an exciting story about a university running team. This anime comes from Hakone Ekiden (箱根驿传), the most famous long-distance relay race (接力赛) in Japan.

Hakone Ekiden is over 100 years old. On January 2nd and 3rd every year, more than 20 university teams, each made up of ten runners, compete by running from Tokyo to Hakone and back. The total distance is about 217 kilometers. Each runner runs one part of the race, covering more than 20 kilometers. Besides this, with several mountain roads along Mount Fuji, the task is even more challenging than we can imagine.

As a national event, this exciting race takes place during the quiet New Year break. It brings families together to experience the energetic youth. Millions of people go there in person, while even more others watch the race on TV. They fully focus on the race and cheer for the runners. One of the most exciting moments is when they pass a tasuki, a special cloth belt (布带) to the next teammate. The process of passing the tasuki is so important because it is a symbol of deep trust and powerful team spirit.

This year, Aoyama Gakuin University (青山学院大学) won once again! Their victory shows that success depends on hard training, perfect teamwork, and a positive mind. The race teaches us that with these qualities, great things can be achieved.

Rice noodles are a much-loved traditional dish in Hunan Province. Their delicious taste has to do the special local ways of cooking. Long ago, people in the countryside of Hunan (need) a cheap and filling (饱腹的) breakfast. Using local rice, they made soft, chewy (有嚼劲的) noodles—a simple dish that would keep on (bring) warmth for many years.

If you haven't tried planning your day before, now is a great time to begin. Also, remember to plan your bedtime to make sure you get enough rest.

You don't need to be an expert cook—just learn a few basic (基本的) cooking skills. Start with easy recipes like scrambled eggs, tomato pasta, or fried rice. Once you know the basics, you can make meals you really enjoy. Soon, you will feel confident enough to try more challenging dishes. Watching ingredients turn into tasty food right in your hands will give you a strong sense of joy and achievement.

Many animals make sounds we can hardly hear. Elephants, for example, talk with each other using sound waves (声波). Coral (珊瑚) in the ocean also uses sound waves to guide its young to safer places. However, by putting field recorders in such environments, scientists can collectthem.

After recording the sounds, AI can study their meanings. In one study, scientists in Israel used AI to listen to bats'15,000 calls. They found that more than 60 percent of bats' "conversations" were arguments about four things: food, sleep positions (位置), personal space and unwanted behavior (行为).

This technology doesn't just help scientists understand animals' sounds, but also communicate back to them. Researchers in Germany once built a robot bee with an AI system that understood bee "dance language". They placed it in a real beehive (蜂巢).
