Public service organizations in cities of Guangdong Province plan to recruit 4, 722 young graduates from Hong Kong and Macao this year. That's over 35 percent of their total recruitment. 

The Guangdong's Human Resources and Social Security Department said the positions are in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai and other cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Shenzhen, which is near Hong Kong, will offer more than 610 positions, the most among all cities. 

Hong Kong graduates might have an edge in positions needing good English and an international view. There are jobs in schools, hospitals, sports centers, media, libraries and museums. Some are made for people from Hong Kong and Macao, like in local communication and trade centers, incubators for entrepreneurs and management for local fishermen. 

The application process started last month and eligible applicants will have a written test this month. 

Public institutions in Guangdong have been increasing recruitment from Hong Kong and Macao since 2020. In 2021, the provincial government let fresh university graduates from HongKong and Macao join public service organizations' school recruitment schemes. Eligible applicants must be permanent residents of Hong Kong or Macao. 

To help young people from Hong Kong in the Bay Area, Hong Kong's government started a pilot scheme in 2021. It gives a monthly allowance of HK$10, 000 to eligible enterprises for each employed young person for up to 18 months. From this year, enterprises can apply to send young people to work in Hong Kong or other mainland cities outside the Bay Area. 

Alice, a Hong Kong official, said last month that the Hong Kong government wants young people to take the opportunities in the Bay Area. 

Too many people want others to be their friends, but they don't give friendship back. That is why some friendships don't last very long.  You must learn to treat your friend the way you want your friend to treat you. Learning to be a good friend means learning three rules: Be honest; be generous; be understanding. 

Honesty is where a good friendship starts. Friends must be able to trust one another. If you don't tell the truth, people usually find out. If a friend finds out that you haven't been honest, you may lose your friend's trust. 

Generosity means sharing and sharing makes a friendship grow. You don't have to give your lunch money or your clothes, of course. Instead you have to learn how to share things you enjoy, your hobbies and interests. Naturally you will want to share your ideas and feelings. They tell your friend what is important to you. By sharing them you help your friend know you better. 

Sooner or later everyone needs understanding and help with a problem. Something may go wrong at school. Talking about the problem can make it easier to solve.  So to be a friend you must listen and understand. You must try to put yourself in your friend's place so you can understand the problem better. 

 But all true friendships have three things in common. If you plan to keep your friendships, you must practice honesty, generosity and understanding. 

One bright morning, I was out to run as usual when I met an elderly lady who was waving her 1 in her hand at me and speaking in a language I couldn't understand. It sounded like she was in a hurry to get somewhere. I suddenly realized that she was lost and couldn't speak any English.

On Thursday, the Chinese embassy in Buenos Aires received 14 returned artifacts文章音频from Argentina. This is a significant example of international cooperation in preserving cultural heritage. 

Both China and Argentina are members of the UNESCO's 1970 Convention. They signed an intergovernmental agreement in 2018 to prevent the illegal movement of cultural relics and facilitate their returning. The successful return of these artifacts is the first outcome of that agreement. 

At the returning ceremony, Chinese Ambassador Wang stated that it marked a new achievement in the comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries. "It not only demonstrates Argentina's respect for the Chinese people's cultural and emotional rights but also shows the strong commitment of both nations to safeguard human cultural heritage, fight against artifact smuggling, and honor international agreements, " he said. It also provided valuable experience for enhancing bilateral cooperation in various fields. 

The 14 illegally exported artifacts consist of seven bronze bells from the late Spring and Autumn period, along with three pottery figures, two pottery figure heads, a bronze frog, and a bronze helmet ranging from the Han Dynasty to the Northern and Southern Dynasties. They were seized in 2017 by the Argentine Federal Police. 

The National Cultural Heritage Administration of China began the process of seeking their return in 2019 through the Chinese embassy in Buenos Aires. On December 12, an Argentine court ordered the return of these 14 pieces to the embassy. 

Marcelo Chiappero, the director-general of international police cooperation of the Argentine Federal Police, added that experts from the National Museum of Oriental Art in Buenos Aires confirmed the authenticity of these artifacts. The National Cultural Heritage Administration disclosed that it would arrange for their return to China at an appropriate time. 

China has signed bilateral agreements with 27 countries to combat the theft, illegal excavation, and illegal export and import of cultural property.

In the assessment of comprehensive liberal arts, GPT-4. 0 scored 237 points. Among domestic large-scale models, Doubao had the highest score in comprehensive liberal arts, and had the highest score in history. GPT-4. 0, which has good image understanding ability, got only 68 points in geography. In the evaluations of Chinese and English, many large-scale models got full marks for objective questions, but the composition was a weak part. 

Large-scale models had big imbalances in the college entrance exam. All scores in math and science subjects were bad, and the highest total score was less than 480. The first-tier score line of science in Henan Province was 511 points, and even the top large-scale models couldn't be in the top 30% of science candidates. Only GPT-4. 0, ERNIE-Bot and Doubao got over 60 points in math. Some experts said that the main function of large-scale models is word games. Science subjects test reasoning and calculation, which are easy to make mistakes. Also, there are more liberal arts data in training. 

Some large-scale models did well in the recent assessment of Olympic math questions, but the accuracy rate went down in the tests of new data sets. Some experts said that the exam performance of large-scale models has both good and bad points. It's not sure yet whether AIor humans are better at exams.
