On February 1st,2025, Chen Haiyan introduced Yi embroidery（彝族刺绣) on CCTV. Wearing a colourful dress and carrying a bag, she showed the special patterns（图案）and colours to the world.

Chen grew up in an Yi embroidery family in Yunnan. Every day, she enjoyed watching her mother make beautiful patterns. "It was like drawing." she said. Chen started learning Yi embroidery in 2012. The patterns looked simple, but when she tried it herself, everything seemed difficult.

Chen still remembered the time when she finished her first embroidery. She cleaned out a quiet room so she could pay full attention to her embroidery. Without noticing the hours fly by, she finished it. "I felt so good and excited! It was the first time I got totally lost in the world of embroidery." Chen said. With much practice, she learned to make daily-use things in one year. After entering university（大学) in 2018, she continued to study the patterns and colours. She knew Yi embroidery was more than a hobby to her. In 2022, Chen chose to go back to her hometown and started her own workshop.

To make Yi embroidery more popular, Chen makes some changes to it. Traditional Yi embroidery uses very bright colours, so she tries softer colours for daily wear. She also puts patterns on bags and notebooks--things young people love. She sells the embroidery online and shares Yi culture at the same time.

Now, it's my job to keep our tradition going."" Chen said. From learning embroidery to working on it, Chen makes her love for embroidery a way to share Yi culture with the world.

much screen time can cause problems like bad sleep and information anxiety （焦虑).Why do these problems happen and how can you solve them?

Ask yourself, "Do I need this information now?" Then, cut down your screen time step by step. For example, start with a 30 minutes' no-screen time. When it's easy for you, make the time longer. You can also try some fun activities without using the screen. This way, you will pay less attention to information and feel less worried.

Many people post things online. 

Online sharing is a  of our daily life now. Different kinds of apps and websites make communication  than before. We can share what has happened recently with others. We can also give personal opinions on what we see. The Internet connects us with friends, family, and  people in other countries. 

Sometimes, when we  a prize in a singing competition or do well in a test, we may share the happy news. At times, when we take  of beautiful views, we might also post them to share. 

However, not everything shared online is kind. Some can be unfriendly. Those unkind words may have unpleasant influences. Maybe people post things without thinking. They just want to play a joke  make others laugh. But these are not good reasons. 

Good shares can make the online world warm and friendly, while  ones can bring trouble to others. So when we want to share something on the Internet, we should ask  whether the things we post are proper or not. Think twice  sharing. We should be responsible for what we share online. Never make up or  anything that is not true. In short, always respect others' feelings. If we can't do that, maybe we're not ready to share online yet. 

Have you ever wondered whether bamboo is a tree or a kind of grass?

It is a kind of grass in the science of plant. Bamboo is really a wonder of nature. This fast-growing plant can be seen everywhere and is widely used. 

Bamboo has got many advantages, leading to its common uses for thousands of years. 

Bamboo is often used to produce daily products, such as chairs, beds and tables. What's more, bamboo can be made into a kind of material for clothes. Bamboo can even be used as an excellent building material because it grows fast and it is strong. 

Bamboo is easy to decay (腐烂), so people have to add chemicals to make bamboo-based materials (竹基材料) stay for a long time. But these chemicals are bad for the environment. 

Chinese scientists have kept improving technologies to deal with this disadvantage. Here is a good example. In 2016, a Chinese research team in Nanjing began to work on new bamboo technologies. Later, the team succeeded in developing a new bamboo technology. 

The new technology is a heat treatment. This treatment moves decay-causing matters out of bamboo without adding chemicals that are harmful to the environment. At the same time, the structure (结构) of bamboo is well kept. As a result, new bamboo-based materials were produced and chosen as an excellent building material to build the scenic platforms (观景平台) of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge - the world's largest sea-cross bridge. Since the new bamboo-based materials were used on the platforms, they have stood sunlight, seawater and even the natural disasters. Now, the scenic platforms still remain as strong as ever. 

Last weekend, I went camping after a long time of tiring work. The trip let me enjoy the clear lake and beautiful views in the woods. I felt the difference at once. I relaxed. I came home feeling rested and a little more cheerful. Going camping became a way to reduce the worry in my life. 

I not only got a nice weekend, but I was also experiencing the benefits (益处) of nature to my mental health (心理健康) — something that researchers and healthcare providers have long noticed. Research has found that as little as five minutes in nature can be helpful for people to reduce worry and feel happier. This means that we can get relaxed and feel better from stepping outside right away. 

If we are unable to put our whole body and mind into nature — for example, by taking a weekend camping trip — we can still find chances in our area. We can take a five-minute break in a small park near our house or take a moment to sit under a large tree. We'll find them useful to refresh our mind. Our better feelings in later life can demonstrate the active influence of nature. 

Besides simply spending more time outdoors, consider how we can enjoy nature even if we have no time to get close to nature. Listen to recorded bird songs or rainstorms instead of music, bring green plants or put pictures of natural beauty into our home. Although bringing nature indoors is quite different from a real outdoor experience, we can still feel nature and experience improved feelings. 

Being in nature doesn't ask anything of us. Slow down, go outside, and notice what's around us. Listen, touch and smell, and we will really notice a benefit in our mental health. 

David, aged 14, wants everyone in his school to know they're important members of the school. People are connected with each other. No one is an island. 

One day, David saw a sad boy on the playground. After talking with the boy, he knew that the boy felt lonely because he couldn't fit in well in the school. David remembered seeing some other students who felt lonely, too. This made David come up with an idea. He wanted to give something special to everyone in the school to remind them that they were connected. 

David told his parents his idea. And they were very glad to support him. 

After discussing the idea with his teachers and classmates, he decided on buttons (徽章). Together with his classmates, David printed the buttons with the sentence "You Belong Here!" Then they gave the buttons to each student in the school. David hoped that the buttons would help the students remember that they all belonged here. He also hoped the students could make friends actively. 

Now, almost all the students in the school are wearing the buttons. The students in the school spend more time with each other than before. Even the students who were lonely before are interacting a lot more with others. David is very happy because he knows that he has really made a difference! In David's eyes, everyone should give more care and kindness to people around. 

One day, Mum and I found a nest (鸟巢) outside our house. The nest was about to fall, so Mum1 it with an umbrella. We hoped it would be stable (稳固的) again. All of a sudden the nest fell down. I2 to catch it and found that inside the nest, there was a baby bird. One of the bird's legs caught on a vine (藤). And the bird was trying to get away from it. Without a second thought, Mum and I decided to help the poor 3 . We used scissors to cut away the vine and the baby bird was 4 .
