I am an English teacher from Futian, Shenzhen. Last summer,I did some1 work at a small school in Kenya, Africa.

To make your routine work better, you can follow these rules. First, make a to-do list. Write down what to do every day. Do it as what the list says. But it's not a good idea if your routine is only about work. You also need to do some things to keep healthy. If something new happens and breaks your routine, think about what you need to do first on your to-do list. Last, don't forget that the most important one comes first.

The mouse Mickey lives in a small house. Cheese is his favourite food in the world and he doesn't like a else. He eats cheese for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There's much cheese in his house. He's very happy to l in his house with his favourite cheese. But one day, he wakes up and finds his cheese missing. He has to go out to l for it.

The lion had the peacock's beautiful feathers in his mouth!

"What a shame (真遗憾) the poor peacock isn't very fast!" the crane said.

The crane's feathers were just black and gray, but he could fly. As for the peacock, he was beautiful, but he couldn't fly and he wasn't very nice!

When I was about 10 years old, I started learning cooking by making dough (面团). In my hometown, Ningxia, people often make noodles in the evening. My parents came home late, so if I made the dough early, we could have dinner sooner.

At first, I thought it was easy. I saw my mom do it many times. Just mix water and flour (面粉), right? But it was harder than I thought. Sometimes the dough way too soft. Sometimes It was too hard. I kept trying and slowly learned how to do it well.

Later, I learned to make jiaozi, pancakes and even pizza. I really enjoy cooking. It helps relax. Besides, I live a better life when I need to work away from my home. Every time I cook, the taste and smell bring back the warm memories of my hometown.

Now, cooking is more than a skill—it's a bridge to my hometown. Every dish takes me back to Ningxia's evenings. These skills help me live well and keep my childhood memories alive.

One morning, Peter put his schoolbag on the floor again. He sat down at his desk. "When will Mr. Li notice it?" he4. A few minutes into class, Mary, Peter's deskmate,5 her hand. Her face looked as white as paper. "Excuse me, Mr Li. I don't feel well," she said softly. "Can I go to see the6?"

Knowing about the missing stamp, camp teacher writes a note and puts it in a nearby CanadaPost mailbox. The note  (read):"Dear postal worker, at our camp we make postcards and one girl sends one to  (she) grandma without a stamp. If you find it, can you please return it to our camp or use the stamp on the back of this page? Thanks a lot. "

At  (one), the note doesn't get an answer. A few days later, an answer comes out on the same note. "Find it and stamp it. Have a great day!" read the  (word) from a Canada Post worker. 

Reporters  (late) find the truth. Christine Fong, the postal worker, says she finds Daya's postcard. To find it, she spends hours in bags of mail carefully  (look) for it. 

Zhu Zhiwen is about thirty years old. He had been on theroad since March 2023. He started his"Olympic 1 "from Beijing on his bike. He spent some months crossing mountains, deserts (沙漠) and grasslands through the country's 2 land.

Bruhat Som a is a 12-year-old boy from Florida. He became the first of the 96th Scripps National Spelling Bee(拼字比赛) on May 30. The event was outside Washington, DC, and was on show online. 

The Scripps National Spelling Bee began in 1925. It is open to students under 16 or under the ninth grade. * In the event, spellers take turns trying to spell a word no one else has tried. First they must pronounce it right, and then they have two minutes to spell it out loudly. If they spell it right, they keep staying in the spelling bee. 

Som a is a seventh grader. He enjoys reading and playing basketball, badminton, ping-pong, and the drum. He joined in the spelling bee twice before. In 2022, he got 163rd place, and last year he got 74th place. He got $50, 000 for his win this year. 

Som a and Faiza n Zaki, from Texas, went to the final round. Som a got the first place by spelling 29words right, seven more than the earlier winner in 2022. Zaki won the second by spelling 20 words. "I'm really excited, " Som a said. "I'm happy my dream comes true. "

Some boys go out for a hike in NorthDakota. They find the fossil(化石) of ayoung Tyrannosaurus rex(T. rex霸王龙). 

Jessin Fisher and his brother Liam are traveling with their dad, Sam, and their 9-year-old cousin Kaiden Madsen. They find a big bone(骨头) coming out of the dirt(泥土). 

Sam takes a photo of the bone and sends it to TylerLyson. Tyler Lyson is a scientist who studies fossils. Lyson thinks it is a usual dinosaur (恐龙) fossil. He asks the boys to dig(挖掘) it out with his team. * As soon as they get to work, however, they make a surprising finding:big teeth that only a T. re x has.

Mateo is a 15-year-old boy. He started picking up plastic bottles in 2020 when he was 11 and in the sixth grade. He played baseball for the school team. The team needed money to play in the tournaments(锦标赛). Mateo made a plan. 

"There are bottles everywhere around the road, " he tells reporters. "We can collect them and sell them for money. " Mateo started the plan and his dad helped. They got $7, 500. "We made so much money, " Mateo says. "Why don't we keep this going?"

Since then, Mateo has got $350, 000 and helped at least 50 youth groups. He has got more than 2 million bottles. He has collected the bottles from roadsides, and kept them out of lakes and rivers. 

In 2023, Mateo won the Gloria Barron Prize forYoung Heroes. It is given to kids and teens who help others and protect the Earth. 

"It is great, " Mateo says, when reporters ask him about his work. "*I'm happy that I can help some kids, and I am also happy to know that more kids are learning about the importance of protecting the Earth. "

The Jining-Datong-Yuanping High-speed Railway became operational (运营的) on Tuesday. This marks the beginning of a direct high-speed rail line between Shanxi and Inner Mongolia. 

The 309-kilometer line is  for trains running at up to 250 kilometers per hour, and runs between Ulaanqab in Inner Mongolia and Yuanping in Shanxi. There  nine stops and the line cuts the travel time between Hohhot and Taiyuan by nearly 2 hours. 

"It is important to the social, cultural and tourist development  the line," said an official at the opening ceremony. "We hope  more tourists from home and abroad. " As the new line opens, many filming locations meet our eyes. More importantly, people's life becomes more convenient. 

Ping Rui, a 30-year-old man in Datong, bought a ticket for the first train  he came to know the new rail line would go into service.

Do you like reading? What is your favorite book? I'm Alan. Sitting in a chair by the shelf, I listen to novelists telling stories, and poets reading aloud from their works and saying things that inspired (鼓舞) them. Sometimes, I see teachers doing drawings in front of wide-eyed schoolchildren. 

My friend Natalie once recommended the book The Journey to me, and I'm very glad as I read it. It is my favorite book and I couldn't put it down. I like it because the main character, Lucy, and the story encourage me and make me strong. The story is about Lucy moving across the country to a new town and trying to fit in. She has a hard time making friends because she is a newcomer. I can understand Lucy because I also moved to a new town. Lucy is so strong and is able to finally make many new friends, including her best friend. The book describes Lucy's feelings and the difficulties she faces. 

The Changjiang River, also known as the Yangtze River, is one of the longest rivers in the world. It is important to the Chinese people and is often called the "mother river". It is not just a natural wonder—it is also a symbol of the Chinese nation. 

Nowadays, the Yangtze River National Cultural Park comes into view. How to protect Yangtze River culture and improve cultural confidence is a new task for the places near the Yangtze River.
