AI in My Life

Living in a digital age,I find artificial intelligence everywhere in my daily life.

Every morning, Zhou Donghong arrives at his workshop by the river in Jingxian, Anhui Province. His hands are rough from many years of work. He gently touches the clear water to feel  (it) temperature. Here, he makes Xuan paper,a kind of traditional paper with a history of over 1,000 years.

Making Xuan paper  (take)a lot of work. First, Zhou puts together bark from trees and rice straw（树皮和秸秆）. He leaves them in the river water  three months. Then, the pulp（纸浆）is poured onto bamboo frames and dried in the sun. The whole process has 108 steps. Even  small mistake can waste weeks of work.  Xuan paper is very thin, it can be kept well even after a thousand years.

In the past, the craft of making Xuan paper  (pass) down from generation（一代人）to generation. But today,  (few) young people want to lean it. Zhou doesn't give up. He often invites students to try the traditional craft. "I hope young people will keep this tradition  (live), " he said.

My birthday was going to be special for two reasons. For one thing, nobody had ever turned nine in space before.

Another amazing plant is the exploding cucumber（喷瓜）. It has a cool trick. When touched, it shoots seeds up to 6 meters away! Learning from this plant's "body language", medical researchers have developed a new way to send medicine to where it's needed in the body, just as the plants shoot seeds to the right places.

Plants may seem quiet and still, but their special movements have inspired real-world inventions. Next time you see a plant, watch its "body language" carefully; you might catch the next scientific breakthrough!

Fu Zai,a six-month-old corgi（柯基）, is China's first corgi police dog. His story started when he was just one month old.

During a park walk, police dog trainer Zhao Qingshuai called him. Amazingly, little Fu Zai ran straight to Zhao! Zhao tested Fu Zai with simple orders. He found Fu Zai was smarter and braver than other pet dogs. Besides, Fu Zai loved playing with toys and learned orders fast. With his owner's permission, Fu Zai joined Weifang Police Dog Base for further training.

For over four months, Fu Zai trained hard every day. He learned important skills like:

With his cute appearance, Fu Zai became an online star. However, some people questioned if he could be a police dog. "Short legs are his advantage!" Zhao said, " Fu Zai can easily check under cars and get into small spaces big dogs can't reach. " Another trainer Wang Yanan said, " Fu Zai loves food, which helps him in training! As long as we prepare some food for him, he will focus（专注）more on his training."

Fu Zai is still learning. Soon, he will become a full-time working police dog. By the age of one, he' ll start real jobs. Fu Zai shows that with enough training and strengths, anyone can do great things!
