Our Study Trip Club will organize a trip for us next Saturday.

Today, tea culture is more than just drinking tea. People who suffer from s  can feel relaxed when they enjoy tea. For China, tea acts as a cultural bridge. It helps b up relations with foreign countries and brings people together to learn more about the country's history and culture. 

The 24 Solar Terms are part of the traditional Chinese calendar（日历）. They were invented along the Yellow River before Qin Dynasty (221BC-207BC), and were almost settled down in the Han Dynasty (202BC-220AD). Like gunpowder, paper-making skills, compass and printing skills, the solar terms have changed people's lives greatly. 

The 24 Solar Terms are useful instructions for farming. Why are they so helpful?  Farmers know when to do the right things with the help of the solar terms. 

 They highlight the importance of traditional celebrations and festivals. For example, in the" Pure Brightness", which is also known as the tomb-sweeping day, people may pay respect to the lost ones and have big meals with their families. 

The 24 Solar Terms have been invented for thousands of years.  They have never disappeared from the daily life of the Chinese. Every time a new term begins in China, the Chinese social media would see a wave of posts from the younger generation. 

Even the 24 Solar Terms are already part of life, people should take action to protect the culture. Creating is supposed to make the ancient culture refresh and lively. Through people's hard work, Chinese traditional culture such as the 24 Solar Terms is believed to have a longer and stronger life. 

When people are still amazed by the power of ChatGPT, a new app called DeepSeek has already become the most popular app in the world, with the most downloads. In 2021, 80% of companies were already using AI in some way. By 2025, the number of companies using AI is expected to increase by 270%. More than half of these companies(51%) have decided to deepen their use of Al. The rapid spread of Al has left people wondering: Besides companies, who else will start using AI in their daily lives?

Many think that people who understand how AI works would be the most likely to use it. However, a new study published in the Journal of Marketing found the opposite. People who know less about AI are actually more willing to use it. In other words, people are more interested in things they don't fully understand. 

This happens because AI can now do things that we once thought only humans could do. For example, when AI creates a piece of art, write a heartfelt reply, or plays a musical instrument, it can feel almost magical—like it's stepping into human field. 

Of course, AI doesn't actually have human qualities. A chatbot might produce a human-like answer, but it doesn't feel what we humans feel. People with more technical knowledge about AI understand this . They know how algorithms（算法）, training data（训练数据）, and computer models work. This makes the technology less mysterious. On the other hand, those with less understanding, especially the young, may see AI as magical and inspiring. This sense makes them more open to using AI tools. 

To make the most of AI, businesses, teachers, and policymakers need to make an effort. By understanding how the "magic" of AI affects people's willingness to use it, they can create better AI products and services that match how people see A1. They should also help people understand both the benefits and risks of AI. In an ideal world, people could enjoy the amazing things AI can do, like solving complex math problems, while also appreciating the magical qualities that make AI so fascinating. 

Hundreds of baby emperor penguins（企鹅）jumped off a 15-meter cliff（悬崖）, as high as a five-story building. This scene was filmed by drones in January at Atka Bay, Antaretica. These video s were shown as part of a documentary series called Secrets of the Penguins. 

This jump seems brave but could be dangerous to these young penguins. 

According to National Geographic, emperor penguins usually raise their babies on sea ice platforms（平台）。When these fledglings（幼鸟）are 5 months old, they lose their baby feathers and grow adult feathers, which are waterproof. Not long after, the babies have to begin their first swim in the ocean to hunt for themselves. Normally they just need to jump from the sea ice, which is less than a meter high. 

However, the fast-melting ice in Antarctica changes the situation. In February 2023, the total area of sea ice reached a record low of 1. 91 million square kilometers. 

"Emperor penguins need sea ice for their raising their young, it's the stable platform they use to bring up their young, " Peter Fretwell from the British Antarctic Survey (BAS), UK's national polar research institute, told the BBC.  If the ice platform melts or breaks apart before penguin babies develop their waterproof (keep dry in water) feathers, they are more likely to drown or freeze to death. For this reason, emperor penguins are now choosing to raise their babies on the ice shelf, which is firmly connected to the land. As a result, babies must face the challenge of jumping off a high cliff. 

Michelle LaRue, a scientist at the University of Canterbury, New Zealand, told National Geographic that when the baby penguins reach the cliff face, they seem to think, "This doesn't look like a fun jump, but I guess I have to do it. "

Alarmingly, according to Live Science, the decrease in the ice has caused thousands of emperor penguin babies to die in West Antaretica in 2022. That may force more emperors to make their nests on ice shelves, said Fretwell. "It's heartbreaking to think that the whole species may be gone if climate change continues on the path at the moment, " he added.

We' re making an app to promote protection of our planet from climate change. We' re looking for someone who cares about the climate crisis and uses online design tools skillfully. If you are admitted, you will work at least 4 hours per week from home to help publicize green living, but you will learn a lot about marketing and brand building. 

Volunteer Map Editor

Your primary responsibility is to update data for The National Map using our mapping app. Structures include schools, hospitals, police stations, and other important public buildings . Since this is an on going remote computer-based activity, you can participate from anywhere you have Internet access if it suits your schedule. 

Citizen TV Volunteer

Make a change-making feature documentary with us. You will research, film, and bring to. light some encouraging stories over the past 160 years. You will receive professional camera training. You will work from day to night, so please get your body and mind prepared. 

In a small village, a very sick girl, Maggie, was found by the roadside. The villagers felt pity for the poor child. 

"Take her to the poorhouse, " a villager suggested. 

"The poorhouse is a sad place for a sick and helpless child, " answered another.
