One Saturday in June several years later, my mother and I were at a store where the Father's Day cards were sold. I stared at the cards. Mum said, "Cindy, I know this is a hard time for you. "

"No, Mum. That's not it. Why don't they have Brother's Day cards?"

She smiled, "You' re right. Your brother has exactly（的确）been a father to you. Go ahead to choose a card. "

I did so, and on Father's Day, my mother and I sat my brother down and gave him the card.

In April, our school held lots of sports activities.

Mars might be the next planet where we can live.  Will they come true? Or are these just ideas from sci-fi movies（科幻电影）？

To live on Mars, humans need water, food, a place to live, and a warm environment with enough oxygen（氧气）. There's very little oxygen on Mars, so it is very cold at night. NASA has shown that it's possible to solve this problem, but it's not easy. 

To grow food on Mars, we need soil（土壤）, but there are many harmful things on the ground of Mars. One idea is to clean out the harmful things to help plants grow. On Earth, scientists are trying a create a place for food with an environment like Mars. But the scientists still have a hard time getting things just right. 

How to build homes?

Buildings on Mars could be 3D-printed, but they would need special protection until Mars'environment becomes more like Earth. However, there are many more challenges. For example, unlike Earth, Mars doesn't have a magnetosphere（磁场）which means harmful radiation（辐射）can get to it. 

But no matter what happens, such work to make Mars more like Earth is not a waste of time. For example, work on 3D-printing to make homes on Mars is being used to help print homes on Earth and solve the problem of not having enough places for people to live.

As Ken's father, I've watched him search parks and schools with his litter picker and gloves in the past week. He would pick up whatever litter caught his eye, rain or shine. 

This all started after we visited a beach last week. Ken said he felt bad for Earth, so the next day, he woke up and decided to clean the litter on the beach. However, the beach was so far so we went to a park near our home. That day, Ken also cleaned the streets on the way to and from the park. 

When I asked Ken, "What do you want to do tomorrow?" he answered, "Can we go to a different park?" I couldn't say no to him. I said, "Well, we could clean the schools, " and that's what we did. He's really made up his mind and I'm not going to let him down. 

In just one week, Ken has cleaned every park, school and public space we could get to near our home. Even when we went for an afternoon walk, Ken picked litter up to clean the streets. It seems that cleaning has become second nature to him and litter is the trigger（诱因）。

Ken said he wanted to do this every day over the summer. My wife and I are very happy even though he's just doing something so easy. It surprises me that at 6-and-a-half years old, he decided to do something, all by himself. That's what we grown-ups should learn from him—try our best to do something good from little things.

③However, AI has its difficulties. Human therapists understand feelings deeply through face-to-face talks and make special plans to help—something robots can't copy. Another problem is safety. AI might act like a therapist without the right training or rules. So something dangerous may happen during the treatment. 

④ ▲ For example, Wysa, an AI mental health app, follows strict rules in the UK. As AI becomes part of daily life, finding a middle ground between its advantages and risks is important. While AI offers quick help, it still cannot copy human connections. There's still a long way to go.
