20、Jane was a great zoologist. She spent her whole life on animal study and protection. She passed away recently. Her death is a big loss for the field of animal science because she helped people understand wild animals much better.
Jane loved animals very much when she was a kid. When she was 7 years old, she saved a small bird with a broken wing. She looked after the bird carefully every day—she fed it warm grains and kept it in a soft, comfortable box. She did this until the bird could fly again. This special experience made her want to learn more about animals and keep them safe when she grew up.
When Jane became an adult, she studied biology at a famous university. After she graduated, she went to Africa. She spent many years watching chimpanzees (黑猩猩) in the places where they naturally live. With her patient research, she found some wonderful things: chimpanzees are very smart. They use sticks as tools to get insects (昆虫) out of tree trunks, and they hug each other to show love. These findings helped people know a lot more about chimpanzees' behavior.
During her career, Jane tried her best to speak up for animal protection. She wrote down what she saw in detailed notes. She also gave speeches to let more people know how important it is to protect animals and their breakable homes. She strongly believed that humans should treat animals as friends, not just other creatures.
Although Jane is no longer with us, people will always remember her hard work for animal science and her deep love for all living things. She set a great example for anyone who cares about wild animals' living. It's our job to continue her work and try to make a better world where humans and animals can live together happily.
