Do you know something about fish lanterns (鱼灯)? Before the Spring Festival, people in Xiangshan, Zhejiang are  making fish lanterns. They have special meanings. These fish  mean good luck (好运). The fishermen in Xiangshan  to have a good new year with fish lanterns.

Making fish lanterns has a longin Xiangshan. People there think fish lanterns show  love for the sea.

Bao Jiqi, an old man from Shipu, has made fish lanterns for many . He likes drawing and started making many carp (鲤鱼) lanterns  he was a child. After Xiangshan had its Fishing Season Festival, he made  fish lanterns than before.

Every year on the 14th day of the  lunar month (农历月), there is an activity in Xiangshan. Everyone  the lanterns to the streets to celebrate (庆祝) the new year. It's a tradition in Xiangshan.

A mother goes home feeling very tired. Her 8-year-old son, Mike, runs up to her quickly. Because he wants to tell her something about his younger brother, Tyler.

"Mum, when I am painting a picture and Dad is on the phone, Tyler takes his crayons (蜡笔) and writes on the wall in the living room." Mike says so fast. "I tell him you may not like it. But he says he has something important to show you." After Mike's words, the mother feels a bit worried and angry. She is tired, but she still smiles to Mike and says, "Thanks for telling me, Mike. Let's go and see, OK?"

They walk to the living room. Tyler is hiding behind the sofa. He looks out, eyes opening wide. Before Mum begins to talk, he runs over and points at the wall. "Mum, look, I made it for you."

On the wall, Tyler writes the words "I LOVE YOU MUM". He also draws a funny heart around it. The mother's tiredness goes away right now. She kneels down (跪下), hugs Tyler and kisses his head. "This is the most beautiful thing for me. Thank you, my boy." Mum says.

Tyler smiles. At last, Tyler, Mike and their mum clean the wall happily together. Everyone has fun. Love is the most beautiful thing in the family.

This School in Ningbo Has a "Forest"

Do you want to study in a school with a forest (森林) in it? There is one in Ningbo, Zhejiang——Huizhen High School.

This school has a very cool building. The building has its own "forest". It even has a rooftop (屋顶) park and you can see the city from there. The designer (设计师) is Ma Di. He got the idea from his daughter: she feels unhappy at her old school, so he wants to make a fun school. What is special about this school?

There is a big forest in the teaching building. Corridors (走廊) go through the treetops——students can walk up and down in the "forest".

Do you believe a man and a bird can be good friends? In Turkey (土耳其), there is such a warm friendship. The man is Adem Yilmaz, a kind fisherman. And the bird is Yaren, a lovely white stork (白鹳).

Yilmaz lives in a small house near the beautiful Uluabat Lake. Every spring, the lake has lots of fish, and the weather is not too cold, just right for Yaren. So Yaren flies 2,500 miles from Africa to this lake. Yilmaz goes fishing there too, and he always keeps an eye on Yaren. They do this every year, and now it has been 14 years.

But this year, Yaren comes late. Yilmaz feels very worried. "Is it hurt?" he often thinks. For a week, he is sad. Then one afternoon, Yilmaz hears its sound. He looks up—Yaren is here. It flies to his boat and eats the fish. Yilmaz stands by the boat, watching it with a smile. A man takes pictures of their meeting.

This story warms many people's hearts. It tells us that people and birds can be friends. It also gets us to care about nature.
