My name is Judy. I'm fourteen years old. I'm a middle school student. I'm 1 from Monday to Friday, 2 I have many lessons. I don't 3 to go to school on Saturday and Sunday, but I must do my homework and 4 a piano lesson and a dance lesson on Saturday. I'm 5 on Sunday and I can do many things I like, so 6 is my favourite day. 

On that day, I often7 at about 8:30 in the morning. Then I clean my room. After that, I always have some eggs, milk and bread for 8 . Mum says they are good for me. Next I often play 9 with my father in the yard. It is my favourite sport. I have three ping-pong bats and five ping-pong balls. I think ping-pong is 10 . At 12:00, my parents and I often have lunch in a 11 . We all like vegetables because they are good for us. In the afternoon, I often do some 12 with my mother. We 13 all the things we need in the supermarket. In the evening, we have dinner at home. After dinner, my parents and I 14 a football game. It's 15 exciting. At about 21:00, we go to bed. 

Nick is like many other boys in his town. He goes to school, does his homework, has fun with his friends and likes to do sport. But in his free time from Monday to Friday, Nick does something____different. He makes dinner for his mum, dad, brother and sister. They all like the food Nick makes. 

"I think it's   ▲  for children to learn how to cook. It isn't only parents' work, " Nick's mother says. "Children need to learn school subjects, but they also need other life skills(技能) to help them in today's world. I teach Nick how to make some easy meals. Now he can use recipes(食谱) in books to make dinner. "

"I love cooking and I think I'm really good at it. No friends around me can cook. I don't know why. It's not difficult and it's great fun!" Nick says. 

At first, like other children, Nick is kind of lazy and doesn't help with the housework at home. So his mum isn't happy with him. But now, things are different.
