Tanghulu is a traditional snack in China. Anyone who has been to Beijing may have seen the colorful sugar-glazed berries on bamboo sticks. They are often sold in the outdoor market or on the street. Known as tanghulu, Chinese fruit snack on a stick is very popular among people of all ages, especially the children and young adults.
Tanghulu is a winter snack in northern China and is (common) made of red or yellow hawthorn berries. Different types of berries, such strawberries, also appear on the bamboo sticks.
