Porridge doesn't have a very tasty name, does it? I'm here to tell you that porridge isn't boring or tasteless. It can be 1 and having porridge can be a correct and healthy way to start a day.

Tea and coffee are two of the most popular drinks in the world. However, people usually like one more than the other.

Tea drinking started in China and India over 4, 000 years ago. Tea is made from leaves. These days, some people drink tea for health, using it to help with sleep, stress, or losing weight. In fact, tea drinking in countries such as Japan is part of the culture. In Türkiye, tea always appears when people meet. Whether in someone's home or a business, tea is always offered as a way of welcoming. This is a time when tea and other dishes are served. It is a way of relaxing with friends or co-workers(同事). 

Coffee came much later than tea, just over 1, 000 years ago. Coffee is made from beans. Something in the coffee beans makes a person feel more energetic. Most people drink coffee in the morning to help refresh themselves. Others will also drink coffee when short breaks happen in the afternoon to keep going through the working day. However, many people at the coffee shop drink coffee while working on their computers.

Last Mid-Autumn Festival, I was a college student far away from home. Missing my family, Iwas feeling a bit down. But my kind (女房东), Mrs Brown, who rented(租) a room to me, noticed my sadness. She decided to cheer me up with a special activity—— making some delicious (果馅饼). 

(每当)I think of that day, the (甜) of pies fills my heart. First, Mrs Brown showed me the recipe. We started to make the crust. Mrs Brown mixed flour, butter, and water to make dough(生面团). Then we rolled it out and put it in the pie pan. 

Next came the fun part— making the filling. We filled the pie crusts with a delicious(混合物) of apples, sugar, cinnamon(肉桂皮), and a touch of lemon juice. The sweet smell in the (厨房) made my mouth water. 

As the pies were being baked in the oven, the wonderful smell filled the whole house. When they were finally ready, the golden-brown crusts looked (完美). We sat at the table, and as I took my first bite, a lot of happy (记忆) from home rushed back. These simple pies became a precious memory of my (学院) days. Even far from home, kindness and warmth can bring so much (幸福). 

When I was young, I was interested in food, both eating and cooking it. But my mother never let me get into the 1 .

Boiling an egg just right is often difficult. It's quite common that the white gets cooked while the yolk(蛋黄) is still not OK. By the time the yolk is well cooked, the white has become rubbery. 

Italian scientists found the best way to boil eggs. They call it"periodic(周期的) cooking". It takes 32 minutes and you need to move the egg between boiling water and 30℃ water every two minutes. 

The yolk and the white are made of different things and cooked at different temperatures, said Medical News Today. The yolk has most of the vitamins. The white has more protein(白质) and water. 

The Italian scientists first did tests on a computer to see how heat moves in the egg. The tests found that changing the temperature between 100℃ and 30℃ can help cook a perfect egg. The next step was to try the idea with real eggs. With special tools and eight taste experts, the scientists compared the results of the new cooking method with those of the common way we make hard-boiled eggs(cooked for 12 minutes) and soft-boiled eggs(cooked for 6 minutes). 

The study shows periodic cooking makes both the white and the yolk taste best. It is also the best way to help the egg keep the most nutrients. 

I'm sixteen now and I'm studying in a high school. Let me tell you my colourful plans for my 1 .
