John is a doctor.He always watches the weather forecast (天气预报) on TV every morning before going out.It is very cold today.He wears his warm jacket, scarf (围巾) and gloves.Then he drives his car to work.

There are a lot of cars in the street.So John has to drive slowly.

John sees a policeman and asks him, "Why are the cars going so slowly？"

"There is a car accident (事故)！" the policeman says.

John goes on driving.He arrives at the place of the accident.He finds that his friend Tony is there.

John gets out of his car and asks, "What's wrong？"

"I drive too fast and run into a car，" Tony says.

After knowing his friend is OK, John drives on."Following rules is very important.I must be very careful，" John thinks.So he keeps driving with   full  attention ．

"Spring" morning

The Qinghai­Tibet Plateau is very high.In the early morning, it's cool.After the sun comes out, it becomes warm.It's like spring.It's a good time to take a walk.

"Summer" noon

At noon, it's sunny and hot.You might feel like it's summer.The sunlight is so strong that you might want to wear a pair of sunglasses.Sometimes, it rains, but the rain doesn't last long.If you are lucky enough, you may see rainbows.

"Autumn" afternoon

In the afternoon, the temperature goes down quickly, especially (尤其) after the sun goes down.It's cool, just like in autumn.People have to put on warm clothes.

"Winter" night

Late at night, it gets cold, like winter.People usually sleep with a thick quilt.The rainy season is from June to September each year.It often rains at night.

Many children feel excited about the first snow of the year.But Jim is sad.He loves swimming, playing soccer and riding his bike in summer.It is cold in winter, and he has to stay at home.

After lunch, Jim's friend Bob comes to his home.He wants to make a snowman with Jim.At first, Jim is hesitant (犹豫的), but he wants to give it a try.Then he wears a warm coat and goes out with Bob.

"Wow, the snow is too cold！" Jim says.

"Yes, but it's fun to play in the snow，" Bob says.

Bob and Jim make a big snowman.They use two brooms (扫帚) as the snowman's arms, two buttons (纽扣) as its eyes, a leaf (叶子) as its mouth, and a carrot as its nose.The snowman looks so beautiful."Making a snowman makes me relaxed.It is really cool！" Jim says.

Little by little, Jim loves snowy days.Bob also takes him to skate.Now, Jim thinks winter can be a great time of the year.
