Snow leopards (雪豹) live high in the mountains of Central Asia and often appear at night, so it's very to see them.

Sadly, snow leopards are in danger. People kill them for beautiful fur. Sometimes, the leopards eat the herders' (牧民的), so the herders shoot them. It is disappointing because snow leopards play an important in the ecosystem. They help keep animal population balanced.

To protect snow leopards, many groups are action. For example, in India, a group brings to stay at herders' homes, so the herders can make money. In return (作为回报), the herders not to kill the snow leopards.
