②Parents can become upset or even angry when their children praise their friends' homes, thinking that it reflects dissatisfaction with their own home. Such childish behaviour shocks their children, who then decide not to tell them something any more.

⑥In the past, it was widely believed that being an authoritarian(专制主义者) was the best way to keep parents' dignity(尊严). However, this could cause children to dislike them and refuse to communicate with them. So, wise parents won't be too strict and they will not always try to manage their children's life and control their children's thoughts and ideas. 

⑦Nowadays, with the parent-child relation facing more challenges, parents should create good communication with their children by being truthful, respectful, and giving them a certain degree of independence of making their own choices and having their own thoughts. This will help to build a healthy family relationship where their children feel comfortable sharing their happy moments with them again. 

Many parents set rules for their children's online activities, such as limiting the amount of time they can spend online. But some children in the US and UK are saying that they'd like to make rules for parents too. They mainly complain that their parents share too many photos of them online. 

In a 2016 study, it was found that parents in the US share an average of116 photos of their kids after they are born. Most were taken before the child turned 8 years old. Many of the photos showed kids in embarrassing situations, like having food all over their faces. 

Parents like to share their children's progress as they grow up. However, their kids don't like it very much. In a survey of the UK children between the ages of 12 and 16, 70% of them said they felt their parents didn't respect their online privacy(隐私). 

In addition, many kids said that other students at school sometimes picked on(捉弄) them after their parents posted photos online. In one case, a girl was bullied(欺负) by boys at school after they found her mum's blog, which had many family photos. 

"Each time a photo or video is uploaded, it creates a digital footprint of a child, which can follow them into adult life, " a spokeswoman for a leading children's charity in the UK said. "It's always important to ask children for their permission before posting photos or videos of them. "

I used to hate my mother because she worked a lot and didn't spend much time with me. Then one Friday morning, I took part in a three - day self-help programme for teenagers. Whether you believe it or not, that weekend changed my life. 

About 100 other teenagers were there, During the first two days, I met a lot of great people. I was glad because I made so many friends there.

The Hero in My Heart

Everyone has a hero in his or her heart. 

Shan Jixiang retired(退休) on April 8th, 2019 after having been the head of the Palace Museum for seven years. Rather than the"boss" of the Palace Museum, Shan called  (he) a gatekeeper. To learn more about the Palace Museum, he spent five months  (walk) every inch of the museum.

One thing all these people have in common is sticking to their goals no matter what happens.

Wang trained very hard for many years to become an astronaut. The hardest part was desert(沙漠) training, Wearing a spacesuit and carrying heavy equipment, she walked several kilometres through the hot and sandy desert, "Sometimes it was so windy and dusty that we couldn't see each other even though we were just a few metres away, " she says. 

Wang loves her job. She remembers watching the first Chinese astronaut go into space. "I was so proud and also very excited. But as I watched it, it came to my mind: We have male pilots(飞行员). When will there be a female astronaut? And today, it's me becoming one of the first few. "

Zoltan Takacs is a snake researcher. He first became interested in snakes when he was a teacher in Budapest, Hungary. Today, he studies snakes as his career. He travels to many different countries around the world to study all kinds of dangerous snakes.
