Leo was a small and thin boy. Some boys in the village often laughed at him, which made him sad. One day, a wizard(男巫) saw some boys (make) fun of Leo. When the other boys left, the wizard went over to Leo and gave him a magic  (lion) tail and said, "If the person wearing it acts bravely, he  (turn) into a lion. "

Leo hung   lion's tail behind his body. But when the boys came, Leo was still very scared and he tried  (run) away.  (sudden), Leo felt the tail behind his body and remembered what the wizard had said. He made two fists(拳头) and became brave. He looked at them in the eye and said he would make them feel sorry for  they did. Hearing this, the looks   the boys' faces were changing. They looked at each other, and finally ran off as quickly as possible. Leo was very happy. He must have turned into a lion just now. But he was a bit disappointed that his new lion body had lasted for only a short time, so that he couldn't fight them. 

The wizard saw everything. "No one fights with lions,  they know lions are very brave and strong. " Leo understood everything. There had been no magic. Those bad boys never dare to face a  (true)brave boy, Bravery is power. 

Rules are an important part of every classroom.  (我们的)is no exception. Here are some of our classroom rules:

1. Arrive on time. We must be in our seat and  (准备好的)to start the class when the  (铃) rings. Once it stops ringing, anyone who  (冲) into the classroom will be considered late. If we' re late three  (次数) a week, we will lose one point. 

2. Dress  (合适地). We should wear full school uniform, including a  (领带). 

3. Make up for the missing work, Students who are  (缺席的) from school must ask their parents to call their teachers first. If they have missed a lesson, they must work out a plan with their teachers to make up for it. 

4. No cheating. We must study hard in order to  (通过) the exams. Students caught cheating in exams will be certainly  (给)a zero. Both the student who shares his paper and the person who copies it will suffer the same consequence(后果). 

In the past, people could only live in   houses. There were no electric   , only candles. They didn't have the television and the transportation and travelling were hard too. People went everywhere on foot or by bike. The food of the family meals was very simple. They could only eat meat once or   a year. 

However, life has changed. Families are smaller than they used to be. Today, most people only have one child! Most children can receive a good . Transportation and travelling are easier today too. Of course. the traffic is much more crowded than before, so it's difficult  the road, Besides these, there are so many good programmes on TV. 

One day, I was so angry with my parents that I left home, I thought they had no rights to take control of my life 1 they didn't even want to buy me a bike. I was so 2 that I didn't realise that I was wearing my father's shoes. I even took 3 wallet at the same time.

When we see a cigarette(香烟) box, we' ll see"Smoking is harmful to your health. " on it. Children are not allowed to smoke by their parents or teachers. But in many countries, smoking is becoming a bigger problem for young people. Most smokers start in their teens or earlier. 

The reason for young people to smoke

Some students think smoking is very cool, and they can see many people smoking around them. They want to have a try. 

"But young people start smoking early. They will probably get addicted to nicotine(尼古丁). And it will be very hard to give up later on, " said a professor. 

What can we do to make them stop smoking? Some people think we can make a law. Teenagers under 18 are not allowed to smoke, or they should be fined(罚款). Parents should give up smoking, because they can set an example to their children. 

"Every year about eight million people die of smoking. And if people keep smoking, the number will increase to 10 million a year from now on, "said the World Health Organisation. So we must learn and tell others about the danger of smoking.
