Today is my seventh day of the school. I am in Grade Eight this year. On the  (one) day of school, all the students of Grade Eight were reorganized (重组). I am in Class Four this year and I have more friends this year! There are twenty-two  (student) in our class, ten boys and twelve girls. We are good friends now. And we have  (we) lessons from eight o'clock in the morning to four o'clock in the afternoon. 

We enjoy  (play) football and basketball together, but we don't always go to the same class at the same time, because every teacher has  different classroom. And each of us is different. We have different likes and dislikes,  we go to different classrooms to attend our classes. It's good exercise  us.

If you want to be a great designer, you have to know what people want, dig their inner and spiritual needs.  It can help you make more beautiful clothes.  If I were a famous able fashion designer, I could not only design lots of beautiful and fashionable clothes for myself but I could show my own designed clothes in Paris Fashion Show!

Teaching middle school students bike riding skills as part of physical education classes may improve their mental health, according to a new study. The research examined the effects of a 6-week cycling program in the US schools and found significant mental health benefits for students. 

The study involved over 1,200 students aged 11 to 14 who participated in a program called Ride for Focus, run by the nonprofit organisation Outride. Students attended cycling classes at least three days a week for six weeks, learning safety and manoeuvring (操纵) skills while enjoying the outdoor physical activity. Before and after the program, students completed questionnaires to measure their well-being. 

"We saw mental health benefits across the entire population," said Sean Wilson, the study's senior author. "The main outcome was a more positive outlook on life. " Exercise, including cycling, is known to improve mental health, and middle school is a critical time for such interventions (干预), as students often face social pressures, anxiety, and stress. 

Esther Walker, a program manager at Outride, highlighted the social and physical benefits of cycling. "Riding with peers in a safe setting is important for adolescents (青少年)," she said. "It provides an outlet for stress and promotes physical activity. "

Dr Allan Reiss, a professor at Stanford University, noted that cycling engages many brain functions, such as sensory perception, balance, and navigation. "It's also often a group activity, which adds social benefits," he said. While exercise is not a cure-all, it is a powerful tool for mental health. 

The study also found that students who limited screen time and got adequate sleep saw greater improvements in well-being. Although girls reported increased well-being after the program, their gains were smaller compared to boys. 

Overall, the study suggests that cycling programs in schools can be a valuable addition to physical education, offering both mental and physical health benefits to adolescents.

John and Nick are best friends and they hang out together almost every day. However, about a month ago, they got into the biggest fight. 

It started on a Sunday when Nick went over to John's house to play tennis. But John said he wanted to go to watch his elder brother's football game instead. When Nick asked if he could go too, John said no. Nick felt hurt. He asked why he couldn't go. John got angry and said, "I want to do something without you for a change!" On Monday at school, Nick was so angry that he left a note on John's desk. John was really sad after reading the note.

★ Explain that sometimes he needs to stay alone. 

★ Promise to be nicer to Nick in the future. 

Nick could:

★ Say sorry for leaving the note and explain that it was a bad way to solve the problem. 

The way to avoid(避免) the fight:

Open communication. There was a better way for John to let Nick know that he needed his own space.
