My cousin Seb and I have always been close friends, even though we grew up in different parts of the world. Our mothers are (sister). but Seb's family moved to Melbourne and mine to New York,we only saw each other during family summers in England. 

Eight years ago, Seb decided(Visit) me in New York after two busy years without a holiday. I planned lots of sightseeing for us and we hadgreat time exploring the city——Central Park, Broadway and even the Empire State Building. Just before Seb' s trip, my old friend Ana from Barcelona(ask) to come and stay. My apartment was even (small) for three people, so we arranged（安排）for her to arrive on the day Seb left. 

On Seb' s last day, he flew to the airport in the morning and I met Ana in the afternoon. She was excited to start sightseeing, so I took (she) to the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA). While we were walking around, suddenly a familiar face(see) by me—it was Seb! His flight had been delayed（延迟）and his phone had died, so he had come to MOMA to spend time. 

Seb and Ana had never met before, but they soon got along. They stayedtouch, Seb moved to Barcelona two years later, and they got married. They' ve now been married for six years——and(recent) they' re planning to return to MOMA for their anniversary（周年纪念） next year. 

When I first moved to college, everything felt new and strange. I rented(租) a tiny room, and the (基本的) furniture(家具) made it feel cold and empty. On the (第一) night, I sat at my desk trying to address all the things I needed to fix—new classes, new people, and living alone. 

Suddenly, there was a (敲击) on the door. I hesitated(犹豫). I didn't really want to talk to anyone. But when I opened it, I found my neighbour, Emily, holding a small welcome gift. "New here?" she asked. Her smile broke the (幽默的) atmosphere at once. 

The next morning, I checked my mailbox and was surprised to receive a letter from my mother. Inside, she reminded me not to (怀疑) myself and told me to enjoy every day. I kept the letter in a lock box because it was so (贵重) to me. 

Life slowly became easier. Emily (介绍) me to friends, and soon I was widely known around the dorm. I (学会) to manage my time, my studies, and even my fears. 

College didn't become perfect—but it became home. 

I am interested in sports. In my free time, I  to practise all kinds of sports. , on Mondays after work, I go to the club and there I  basketball with some friends. On Wednesdays, I go with my sister . we play golf near our house. I also signed up for a marathon(马拉松赛跑), so on Saturdays I train for that. I just run  miles around my neighbourhood. , on Sundays, I go swimming because I think that is the best  that you can do to keep in good shape. 

What is your opinion about eating well?（不超过15词）

When a film is successful, it's usually the actors who get all the attention in the media, but at the Oscars this is different. The actors are just one part of what makes a film successful. Behind the scenes there is a hard-working team that makes it all happen. They are just as important as the big stars and the Oscars recognise many of these people who we never usually consider. 

One of the most important people behind the scenes is the director. The director's job is to give directions to the actors and the film crew(团队). However, a director doesn't work alone. He or she needs to work closely with lots of other people behind the scenes. 

All films need good photography to help develop the story. The cinematographer（电影摄影技 师） is the person who is in charge of shooting the film. He or she makes sure that the photography supports the story. The cinematographer has a lot of responsibility and leads the teams in charge of lighting and cameras. 

Another important person that we often forget about is the costume designer——the person who designs what the actors wear. The costume designer needs to understand exactly what the director wants and design the most suitable costumes. The costumes have to be comfortable so the actors can move easily, but at the same time they need to match the characters the actors are playing. It's a job that requires imagination（想象）, research and you have to know how to make things!

It could be said that the most important person in the creation of a film is the producer. Without a producer there would be no film at all! The producer steers the film through all its stages. He or she finds the money to support the whole film and also works closely with many other people behind the scenes. During the whole filming process, it is the producer's job to make sure that everything goes well. 

I' ve never understood it, but it's certainly true that a lot of people spend their free time giving money to stores. You' ll probably find your local shopping centre full of people every weekend, families arguing with each other, teenagers hanging out with their friends and bored couples killing time. Almost everyone's there! It's also a fact that shopping helps our economy(经济)— when people stop spending, that's when we know there's trouble coming. 

However, it seems that shopping may be becoming less popular than it was, certainly with young adults. Talking to lots of my friends these days, they tell me that they shop less than their parents' generation(一代). When I asked them why, I got a few different answers. Some said that they just don't have the money and need it for other things. Others said that it was probably because it felt like a waste— it's clear that we have more things than we need already, so why get more? One friend said that it was because he felt like he was always being pushed to buy new things by advertising on TV and social media(媒体) and that he just didn't like that feeling. Another friend said he shops less because he cares about the environment— buying fewer things means less waste and pollution. A few of these friends also expressed another idea— they felt that their generation is less interested in"material things" than the earlier one and more interested in experiences. 

I don't think shopping is going to disappear from our lives any time soon, but I hope that people are beginning to spend more time doing other things. My parents recently started going hiking at the weekends rather than going to the shops in town, so maybe there's hope!
