E. Sima Guang Breaks the Vat (缸)
True heroism often lies not in physical strength, but in wisdom, calmness, and the ability to act when others stay frozen in fear.
F. Yu Gong Moves the Mountains
Persistence can move mountains — not always through direct force, but through the accumulation of small efforts across generations.
When danger came suddenly, most people only felt frightened and stood there helplessly. But Ramsay kept a clear mind, thought differently, and took quick action to protect others from harm.
Sharon chose to take on a heavy duty for the family, hiding her own situation and working hard silently. She asked for no honor or reward, only to do what she should for the people she loved.
Instead of trying once or giving up halfway, Jonas kept doing small things day after day. He believed that with continuous efforts over a long time, even the most difficult goal could be reached at last.
Brandon refused to put in real effort but kept waiting for unexpected luck to come by itself. He thought success could fall to him easily, but finally he got nothing and lost what he once had.
Daniel and Doris's deep feelings for each other were strong enough to go through difficulties and separation. Though they could not stay together in this life, their story moved others and their bond continued in another form.

Zhang Xuefeng, a prominent Chinese postgraduate entrance examination tutor known for his high-energy lectures and motivational style, died of sudden cardiac arrest(心搏骤停) on March 24, after collapsing while running in Suzhou, Jiangsu province. He was 41.
Zhang had reportedly finished 72 kilometers of running this month. His death highlights how even physically active individuals can remain vulnerable(脆弱的) to hidden cardiovascular(心血管的) risks. Specialists recommend that those experiencing unusual fatigue(疲乏) or breathlessness during exercise seek medical attention immediately.
Doctors say the body often sends warning signals before a deadly event. A study in the Annals of Internal Medicine found that more than half of patients experience symptoms(症状) within the 24 hours preceding the event, such as chest pain or extreme fatigue. "These symptoms are often the body's last warning," said Zhang Ling, an internist at the China-Japan Friendship Hospital in Beijing. "But many people dismiss them as simple fatigue."
Zhang noted that lifestyle changes linked to China's rapid economic development —including diets high in processed food, long working hours, and long-term lack of sleep—have increased cardiovascular burden. She cautioned that intense exercise can be dangerous when the body is already severely fatigued.
"Heart disease is no longer just an elderly person's problem," said Zhou Dongchen, a physician at the First Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. "We are seeing a clear shift toward younger age groups, particularly middle-aged men."
Because over 90 percent of sudden cardiac deaths occur outside of hospitals, Zhang Ling emphasized the necessity of emergency preparedness. "In cardiac arrest, the first few minutes are critical," she said. "Immediate CPR and the use of an automated external defibrillator(AED) can make the difference between life and death."
(1)、Why does the writer mention Zhang Xuefeng's case at the beginning?A、To broaden the readers' horizons B、To make a comparison C、To stress the writer's opinion D、To give an example(2)、What do specialists advise people to do if they feel unusual fatigue during exercise?A、Keep exercising B、Ask for medical help at once C、Drink more water D、Have a short sleep(3)、What does the underlined word "dismiss" probably mean?A、fire B、ignore C、refuse D、discharge(4)、Which of the following is NOT mentioned to increase cardiovascular burden?A、Diets high in processed food B、Long working hours C、Long-term lack of sleep D、Doing too much light exercise(5)、Which of the following proverbs best reflects the main message of the article?A、"No pain, no gain." B、"A warning is better than punishment." C、"You can't judge a book by its cover." D、"Health is not valued till sickness comes." -

①Life is full of moments, but some are "special" and stay in our hearts forever. For example, the first time you rode a bike alone, a friend's hug when you were sad, or in the evening talking with family. These moments aren't always big, but they change how we feel about ourselves and the world.
②Special moments are like treasures. We don't need to write them down—our hearts remember them. A teacher might praise a shy student's drawing, making the child feel important. A parent could bake cookies with you on a rainy day, filling the kitchen with laughter. Even strangers can create them: a barista who knows your coffee order, or a neighbor who helps carry groceries. These small acts stay in our minds because they make us feel loved.
③Businesses also use special moments. A café might play soft music and serve warm cookies on cold days to make customers feel welcome. A bookstore could hold story time for kids every weekend, turning a visit into a happy memory. An ice-cream shop lets customers decorate their own cones (冰激凌蛋筒)—seeing a child smile while adding something is a moment everyone remembers.
④In the end, special moments are everywhere. They don't need money or planning—just a little care. A kind word, a smile, or a small surprise can make life richer. So take time to enjoy these moments—they make life worth living.

When people see Lego, most think it is only a toy for children. However, for 18-year-old Xu Tianyi from Shandong, Lego is far more meaningful. He uses it to introduce Chinese culture to the world.
Xu has loved Lego since he was young. At 10, he became a "MOCer". MOC means "My Own Creation". He no longer follows instructions but creates his own original (原创的) Lego works.
While building, Xu found that many official Chinese-culture Lego sets only showed the outside look, but they missed important details. Guided by this idea, he created Ink Wash Painting: Galloping Horse, based on Xu Beihong's famous painting. He explained that Xu Beihong connected Western techniques (技巧) with traditional Chinese ink wash and left empty spaces on the horse. So he built the work using only black, white and grey bricks (积木), showing both a strong 3D effect and the beauty of traditional ink wash painting.
Xu's works are widely loved on social media and Lego Ideas. He was deeply touched by a long comment praising the details of his horse. Xu believes people love his works because Chinese culture is amazing, and he just presents it in a creative and interesting way.

With a long history, Hunan Cuisine began to take shape during the Han Dynasty and became more popular in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The warm and wet weather in Hunan led local people to develop special ways to keep food good for longer, such as smoking meat. Also, the special weather has influenced people's eating habits for centuries. Hunan cooks use plenty of chili peppers and spices (香料), which is why the cuisine is famous for its hot and heavy tastes. A perfect example is Spicy Crayfish (小龙虾), a favorite across China. 20、 下面A-F是AI给出的六条建议,请从5个人对AI发展的看法中选出合适的回复建议,并将其标号填入题前括号内。
A.It is good to think about jobs. AI is a tool, not a replacement. It can also create new jobs. Tell your parents to learn new skills—lifelong learning is important.
B.This is an important question. We need clear rules to make sure AI helps people. Everyone must work together to guide AI to do good things.
C. Finding a balance is key. Use AI to help you start, but sometimes try to do tasks without it. Think of AI as a helper. Your own thinking is what matters most.
D.AI can help in school, but it cannot replace real teachers and friends. They give support that AI cannot give.
E. You are right. AI suggestions are helpful, but don't only look at them. Try to find things on your own. Sometimes the best things are not in AI's suggestions.
F. Privacy is a serious problem. We need strong rules to protect data. Always check how your data is used. Use services that protect your privacy first.
Li Wei: "AI might take jobs. My parents work in a factory. I worry about them."
Chen Yu: "AI helps me study. It explains and gives answers. But am I really learning, or is AI thinking for me?"

Wang Tao: "AI helps doctors find sickness. That's good. But is my health data safe? How can we protect privacy?"
Zhao Lin: "AI is everywhere. I am excited but also scared. How can we make sure AI is used for good?"
