The lion is my favourite animal. I love lions because they are brave and powerful. They are also a symbol of strength and courage here. The lion is often called the king of the animals. In many cultures, people respect lions as protectors and leaders.
Lions look very different from other animals. They have strong, muscular (肌肉) bodies. Male lions have large, beautiful manes around their heads. They have sharp teeth and powerful paws. They can run fast and catch their food with great skill.
Lions are like us in some ways. They live together in groups called prides (狮群). In a pride, they take care of one another. The mother lions do most of the hunting, and they share the food with the whole group. They are very playful too. Baby lions love to run, jump, and play fight with each other. The Wildlife Trust of South and West Wales (WTSWW) is looking for volunteers to work on Skomer Island, an island off the coast of Wales that's just under 3 square kilometers in size. The island is home to many different kinds of birds.

Although they won't be paid, the volunteers may be given between $275 and $550 to help with their stay on the island, and they will be able to live there for free.
