Sanjiangyuan covers an area of about 395, 000 square kilometers. Most of the reserve is over 4, 000 meters above sea level. It is home to many rare wild animals, such as the Tibetan antelope and the snow leopard. 

However, Sanjiangyuan was in danger because of human activities and global warming. The grassland was damaged, and the rivers were polluted. To solve these problems, the government set up projects to help improve the grassland and rivers. They also taught the local people about the importance of environmental protection. 

Now, the environment in Sanjiangyuan is getting better. More and more wild animals are returning to their homes. The reserve is not only important for China but also for the whole world. 

Giant pandas are loved by people all over the world. These black and white bears live in the forests of China. They mainly eat bamboo, and each panda needs to eat about 10-18 kilograms of bamboo every day. 

Pandas are in danger for many reasons. First, the bamboo forests are becoming smaller, so pandas have less food to eat. Second, it is not easy for pandas to have babies. Baby pandas are very tiny and often get sick. 

To help pandas, the Chinese government has set up more than 50 nature reserves. In these reserves, pandas can live safely and have enough food. Scientists also work in the reserves to study pandas and help them have more babies. 

Thanks to these efforts, the number of pandas in the wild is increasing. From 2000 to 2010, the number rose from about 1, 000 to over 1, 800. However, pandas still need our help. We should protect their homes and not buy things made from pandas.
