Chinese researchers have made a small but important step for the future of food. They have developed"chicken rice" and"pork rice", which are new dishes that mix cell-cultured meat and common grains. 

The China Meat Food Comprehensive Research Center and the Beijing Academy of Food Sciences led this breakthrough. They grow chicken and pork cells directly on rice and other plants. 

Professor Wang, the main scientist of this project, said, "These dishes look like normal rice——white, brown or purple. But when cooked, they smell like both rice and meat. " Not only do these dishes taste good, but they also have good nutrition. Wang said, "We can control exactly how much protein, amino acids, fiber, carbs and other nutrients are in them. This means we can make these foods for special eating needs. "

The big innovation is using rice as a"small carrier". Before, making cell-cultured meat needed expensive and artificial carriers. Wang said, "These carriers often cause problems with food safety and make production more expensive. But rice is a natural and safe choice. It has a lot of fiber and good nutrients. "

To make these dishes, they treat the rice first to make a good place for the cells to grow. For example, "pork rice" is made by growing different groups of pork muscle and fat cells on changed rice grains. Then they put them together. 

Professor Zhou from Jiangnan University thinks this is a big step forward. He said, "Chicken rice and pork rice are new in cell-cultured meat research. China can be a leader in this area. " The research team is hopeful to make a lot of these in the near future. 

Fitness coach Yao likes the idea. He said, "High protein, high fiber and healthy carbs. That's great for me. The price matters, but I will try it. " But Yao knows that people need to accept it. He said, "It's a new thing. People will be interested but careful. It will take time for these‘grown' dishes to be popular. "

Some scientists believe that yawning makes you notice things more quickly. When you yawn, you breathe deeply. You also stretch(拉长) the muscles in your face, mouth, and neck. Your eardrums stretch, too. Maybe this helps you to be quicker to notice things. 

In some countries, people think yawning is not nice. People put their hands over their mouths to cover a yawn. In other countries, people think yawning is healthy. They think that opening the mouth very big can let good things in. When they breathe out, they think that bad things go out of the body with the air. 

Scientists do not spend much time studying yawning. That is probably because yawning does not hurt. It is just something we do. 

One night a woman came in with three children. As a waiter, I could usually 1 who is going to tip(给小费) well and who is not going to tip at all. Dressed in 2 clothes, she didn't look like a big tipper. She 3 the price of everything on the menu. I replied. However, she only ordered the cheapest bread.

Frida Kahlo was a Mexican artist. She was born in Coyoacan, near Mexico City, in 1907. Frida grew up in a bright blue house with her parents and sisters. When she was six trouble walking fast. 

Frida spent a lot of her life in and out of hospitals. She had many health problems and she suffered a lot of pain. When she was eighteen, she was in a bus accident. She broke lots of bones and she spent many months recovering. It was at this time that Frida started to paint. Many of her paintings from this time are about her life to show her pain. 

In 1929, Frida married Diego Rivera, a Mexican artist who was famous for painting huge murals on walls. Both artists continued their work and became successful at home and abroad. After they got married, Frida started to wear traditional Mexican clothes and became interested in Mexican folk art. This influenced her paintings, which are very bright and colorful, with an original style that is very personal to Frida. However, they continued to show the pain and sadness which she experienced during her life. 

Frida Kahlo died on 13 July 1954, after suffering more and more health problems. Her husband died three years later. Today Frida and Diego's home, La Casa Azul, is a very popular museum. It displays paintings by Frida and Dicgo, as well as many objects from their life, to help tell the story of one of the most important artists in the twentieth century. 

There is  milk in the glass. 

Fraser Island is in Queensland, Australia, about 200 kilometers north of Brisbane. It is about 120 kilometers long and 24kilometers wide. It is a very important island. It is completely made of sand. In fact, it is the largest sand island in the world. There is no airport on the island, but there is a long beach along the east coast. Planes arrive and leave from here. 

The sand makes unusual shapes.  There are hills made of sand called "sand-blows". Nothing grows on them. They move one or two meters a year from the northwest toward the southeast of the island, getting bigger and bigger. At other places on the island, such as Rainbow Gorge, the sandy rocks have different colors. Sometimes the rocks are so brown that they turn the sea brown, like coffee. 

Surprisingly, the sandy island has many different plants and animals. There are forests—eucalyptus woods, beautiful flowers and over a hundred lakes. There are all kinds of birds, like owls and curlews. There are many animals, too, such as crocodiles and wild dogs. 

About 500, 000 people visit the island every year to see the island's beauty and nature. People enjoy camping and hiking there.   ▲  They damage plants and frighten animals. Their sun cream makes the water dirty. So it is necessary to manage the visitors. For example, people may not use motor boats or go fishing in the lakes, and they need official papers to drive there.
