①As a world leader in clean energy development, China is playing an important part in protecting the environment.

②China remains the world's largest seller of clean energy products. It produces and exports(出口) different kinds of green energy products, such as electric cars and clean-powered machines. These products are now used in more than 190 countries around the world, such as Germany and Australia.

③Inside China, clean energy has also grown quickly in recent years. More people are using electric cars instead of gas-powered ones, and many cities are using clean power to light streets and run public transport. These changes help cut pollution and improve the quality of daily life.

④Besides, China is working hard to make clean energy better and more affordable. Over the past ten years, prices have gone down, but the quality has improved. This means people can get better quality for less money.

⑤What's more, the Chinese government has put a large amount of money into the clean energy industry. In 2024, it spent about $940 billion in this area. It also encourages the whole society to move towards green development.

⑥By using more green energy and helping others do the same, China is taking real steps to protect the planet, not only for today, but also for the future of the whole world.

One sunny Saturday, a family went to the park for a picnic. As they enjoyed their food, a small, dirty dog came close to them.

"He looks hungry," said the girl.

"I think he wants to play," said the boy.

The children played with the dog all afternoon. They named him Willy. When it was time to leave, they wished to take Willy home.

"No," said the father.

"He must belong to (属于) somebody," said the mother. "They would miss him."

On the way home, the girl said, "Maybe Willy doesn't belong to anybody. He may get caught."

That night, all the family kept thinking about Willy. They returned to the park the next morning and wished to see him again. Luckily, they did! Willy showed up—but he was running fast. A dog warden (捕狗员) was trying to catch him. 

The children tried to stop this. But the dog warden said, "He has no collar (项圈). He has no leash (狗绳). This dog doesn't belong to anybody."

Quickly, the boy took off his belt. "Here's his collar," he said.

The girl removed her hair band. "Here's his leash," she added. "His name is Willy, and he belongs to us."

Seeing this, the dog warden decided to let them take Willy home. From that day on, Willy lived happily with his new family. He was finally in the place he truly belonged.

When I was in Grade 7, I worked as a volunteer (志愿者) at a hospital during the summer. I1 most of the time with a man named Mr. Gillespie. He didn't have any visitors, and no one seemed to 2 him.

Mr. Gillespie was in a coma (昏迷) and could only move a little. I often sat by his bed, held his hand, and talked to him. He was like a 3 to me, though he couldn't speak.

One day, I went on a one-week trip with my parents. When I 4 , Mr. Gillespie was gone. I didn't have the 5 to ask the nurses where he went. I was afraid they might say he had died. So I just kept volunteering, always 6 about him.

A few years later, I saw a man at a gas station. His face looked so familiar (熟悉的). "Excuse me," I walked up and asked excitedly, "Are you Mr. Gillespie?" He looked7 and said yes.

I told him who I was. Tears came to his eyes, and he gave me a big8 . He said that while he was in a coma, he could hear my voice and feel my hand. He told me that my voice and touch had helped him stay9 .

I was only a teenager, but that 10 showed me how small acts of kindness can change someone's life.

Trees play an important role in protecting the . They take in greenhouse gases and  oxygen, working like nature's air cleaners. But some  activities are harming forests. That's why we should take action to protect trees.

Last week, our class joined in a tree-planting activity. We planted young trees carefully. Our teacher said, "Every small  can help stop climate change. Now these trees make our school look more beautiful! And they also show us how to care for nature." It was nice to do something meaningful with my classmates.
