If you want to be successful, you should learn how to start your day. Although you cannot achieve all your goals in one day, starting your day in a correct way is still important. Here are some ideas on how to start your day right. 

Get up an hour early. 

  This means that people who get up early can have a good start and are more likely(可能的) to succeed. 

Health experts say drinking a cup of water in the morning can speed up our body's metabolism(新陈代谢). Then we can study or work more actively. 

Your breakfast is ready. But you decide to check your phone quickly. Well, you'd better not. 

Exercise in the morning. 

Some people may disagree with this one. Some people like to exercise after work. 

 By the end of the day, you may not have the time or energy to exercise. Exercising in the morning prevents that from happening.

Last Saturday my friend Ted asked me if I would like to learn how people make tofu. I couldn't think of any good reason not to be interested, so I said, "Yes. "So the next day I met with him and other three nice people at Hodo Soy Beanery in Oakland. I enjoyed the tour. I got a lot from the trip. The following is what I learnt. 

Tofu has a history of over 2, 000 years. Although the word "tofu" is from Japanese, the food comes from China. There are two main kinds of tofu:soft tofu(软豆腐) and firm tofu(硬豆腐). In some parts of Asia, people use tofu as a kind of meat. 

Douhua is one kind of soft tofu. It is a popular breakfast food in China. Because it is very soft, people can't eat it with chopsticks, but with a teaspoon(茶匙). People often eat it as a dessert and often add spring onions and sauce to it. In Malaysia, people usually eat douhua with white or dark sugar water.

My parents are so strict with me. I have many rules in my family and some of the rules really drive me mad. For example, I can't watch TV. They think it can get in the way of my schoolwork. I know the rules are good for me, but sometimes I just want to take a break so that I can stay focused later. As an old saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy." What can I do?

Your parents know what's best for you, but I understand that sometimes you need a break. I think there are two things you can try. You can talk to your parents seriously and sincerely. You must tell them how you feel and maybe they can make the rules more reasonable. For example, you can ask your parents to give you a time limit(限制) each day. You can watch TV during the time limit. Ask them to give you just a little break. They might be more willing(愿意) to do this. You can also find a different way to take a break. For example, you can read a fun book or draw. The most important thing is that you have to know your parents make these rules to help you. So you should try to understand them.

We can make our eyes healthy in many ways. Don't read in the sun. Watch less TV. Do eye exercises every day. But do you know we can also have healthy eyes by eating some food that is good for eyes?

Pandas are so cute! They live in bamboo forests in the mountains of China. These places are like their special homes.

Pandas are easy to see because of their black and white fur. Their bodies are round. They have black circles around their eyes, just like wearing funny glasses. Their ears and legs are black, too.Pandas have a special "thumb". It helps them hold bamboo, just like we hold a stick.

Bamboo is pandas' favourite food. They spend most of the day eating it. They need to eat a lot because bamboo doesn't have much energy. Sometimes, pandas eat a few small animals, fish, or fruits. But bamboo is their favorite.

Pandas can do a really cool thing—climb trees. Even though they are a bit heavy, they are good at it. They climb trees to sleep or get away from dangerous things. People all over the world love pandas. China tries hard to keep their home safe.
