Joan worked in a hospital as a nurse. One evening there was a big dance at the hospital. Most of the  and nurses would be there, but it was Joan's  to look after the sick children. She liked dancing very much, so she felt very  for herself. 

She went to see each sick child one after  and said goodnight, until she came to one boy Dickey. He was eleven years old, but he was already able to talk  an adult. Poor Dickey wasill, and now he was hardly able to move any part of his body except his hands. He might never get any better, but he was always happy and always thinking about other people instead of  , 

Dickey knew that Joan loved dancing, so now, when she came to say goodnight to him, he greeted her with the words "I'm very sorry that you have to miss the dance  of us. But we are going to have a party for you. If you look in my drawer, you'll find a piece of cake . I saved it from my supper today, so it's quite fresh. And there is also a dollar there. You can buy  to drink with that. And I'd get up and dance with you myself if I could. "

Suddenly, the hospital dance  very far away and not important to Joan at all. 

I love summer. There is nothing(good) than taking a short vacation from studying or working. I like to have a vacation in summer. But there are too many things that I have to think about,  as time, money and hotels. So this year I decide (give) myself a staycation(居家假). 

What is a staycation? The word "staycation" mixes(混合)"stay" and "vacation". It is a vacation people take in their home, hometown or house country. Staycations are very popular for many (reason). First, it's the (cheap) way to spend vacations because people don't have to travel (旅游) very far. And sometimes they don't need (stay) at hotels. This is great, because people usually travel  their parents, brothers, sisters or friends. It can be (real) very expensive for people to pay for the hotels. Second, it's  wonderful way to find new places in their own(自己的) country. 

So when you think of fantastic places to visit next time, start by(think) about your home or some places near your home. 

My parents usually work hard and my father also (expect) me to be good at every subject. We spend a few days traveling together every year to re lax (we). Last year, we (decide) to go to a beach, so we used  Internet to get some information about places close to the sea. Finally, we (choose) Qingdao City and had a lot of fun there. We visited Qingdao Polar Ocean World. When we walked it, we saw some beautiful penguins. They were black white. They were much (small) than other penguins. I thought they were the most popular ones among all the animals there.  an enjoyable trip it was! I can still remember that trip so (clear) now and I will never forget it.
